ah64,
You can burn the DVD onto your HD by using DVD Shrink. All you have to do is set up a folder for Shrink to burn the movie to and when finished the movie is inside the folder.

ah64,

I don't know what "a la volee" means, but you can copy part of a DVD to your hard drive using Shrink.

As Car.Mike says, you burn it as an ISO file, but first, reauthor it. This will allow you to select whichever items you wish to keep. Additionally, you can copy whatever portion of the movie you wish by selecting start and stop points, as well.

ddlooping has written an excellent guide for this at: http://www.dvdshrink.info/reauthor_basic.php

I hope that helps...

Relax, don't worry - have a homebrew.
