Hey, I got MPT v3.11 but thee's a file missing called WidComm.dll if someone could send me the file somehow, then I'd be able to upload the entire package to a site somewhere. And I went to the site someone gave me for all the stuff, and I dont know what to d/l. I dont see the drivers anywhere.. Could you be a little more specific please?

Once you have installed the initial program, v1.23c, AND the 2.21 Update. You can check for updates after you start the application and it will automatically download everything you need.
However, as has been posted numerous times in this forum, if your OS is Windows XP with SP2, you may be S.O.L.

OK, I'm a little late joining this topic
I have a v180 and a usb cable
so far i have
downloaded the motorola mobile phone tools
and have read that i should choose v220, but that isn't an option.
i read something about an update, but i don't know where it is because a lot of those links are dead (or at least they were last night when i was checking)
all i want to do is copy an mp3
i know someone posted a step by step guide, could someone please provide me with a working link or some instructions?

I have tried installing mobile Phone Tools 1.23c. It gets almost done then I get this error.
Error# 0x80040707
DLL function call crashed. Pbkinstall._GetBookNames[/bold/]
Any way to get past this? My buddy got the same file and had NO problems. Running XP SP2 as he is.

i am looking for a driver(s?) for my v265 to use it with MPT or truesync. i don't even know if it's out yet, arg. thanks for any help.

I have the usb cable for my motorola v220 but it said that I needed to install software inorder for it to work. And I keep hearing about phone tools and was wondering if thats what I needed? and where I can get it.

I installed v3.11 and get to the Phone Setup Dialog but then it says "Please wait. You phone is being initialized and setup" and then it just sits there and doesn't do anything and never connects to the phone. I uninstalled service pack 2 because I read that that might cause problems. I have the same problem if I run v2.16. Please help! The whole reason I got this phone is to upload MP3s to it and now I can't even connect to it :(
