Can not open DVD shrink

I downloaded shrink, and extracted it using my trial version of winzip. I execute the installation and everything seems to go fine until I try to open the program. I uninstalled and re-installed about ten times from different locations.

I tried automatically launching from installation, launching from w/in the file folder and launching from the desk-top icon.

When I try to open the program, I get the hourglass for a fraction of a second, and then nothing happens. No error message, red X, nothing. Its as if I don't have software necessary to open shrink, except there is no necessary program because i've had it before.

Using windows xP, and have nero ultra and decryptor. Not sure if there is a compatability issue but or if there is something missing from my OS which was recently re-installed.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest DirectX installed. www.microsoft.com/directx

Also if you have Windows XP SP2 installed;

I downloaded 9.0 as it wa needed for me to use Nero so that didn't seem to be the preoblem.

The microsft page didn't seem to help either.

Thanks 4 your help, bit I still seem to be stuck.

Any other suggestions will still be gratly appreciated.

Also check if you have any virus that stops you from using the program. Could also try to download it from a "safe" place as www.mrbass.org
