I have tried repeatedly to burn differant dvd to dvd+r media with no luck. When you start dvd shrink it opens fine and starts to back it up but then locks up the pc. I have used this on another pc and works fine what is wrong with my hardware. any help would be great. Thanks

I have now tried xcopy on same pc with no luck, it locked up too.

Possibly a junkie PC system. Couldn't imagine why it would lock up on two different programs. Have you tried a different DVD Drive

locks up when it starts encoding on both software. but this dvd rw has done plenty of backups in the last 4 months. just not on this system. on a 6oo mhz machine it has done it on 4 diff dvds now even a brand new one.
