I followed the instructions on http://www.digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm and http://www.digital-forums.com/dvd2dvdr/intro.htm for CCE my final m2v has 0kb any ideas on where I went wrong. My initial vob is 4.41 GB my d2v is 537kb and my elc is 2k. I?ve tried several othe titles and it ends up the same way.

Thanks,

There aren't that many settings on CCE, so the problem can't be that difficult, other than what YOU make it !!

What is the makeup of your PC system ?

What version of CCE are you using ?

Are you frameserving ?

Does it LOOK like it's encoding the frames ?

How long is it taking to do the work ?

To save yourself a lot of time, work with a single VOB, (1GB, not merged VOB files) that way you can very quickly see if any changes you make have the desired effect.

You answer my questions, and I might be able to answer yours.

My PC is an Atholon 1900 XP with 512 ram and an 80 gig 7200 rpm HD formated NTFS. I've been using the single file method and CCE ver 2.64.01.02 and it looks like it works but it only takes about 5 seconds.

Thanks,

DaggersEd,

Sorry It's NOT WORKING.

CCE is fast, but not that fast !!!

OK, what file are you "adding" ?

Personally, I use CCE 2.5 and framserve, using Avisynth. Basically this means I "add" a *.avs file to CCE, then re encode.

typically the *.avs file says the following :-

LoadPlugin("c:\mpeg2dec.dll")
mpeg2source("F:\deep impact\deep impact.d2v")
ResampleAudio(44100)

Simple eh ? guess the name of the movie ?

HomerJ

What file type are you "adding"

Everything I read told me to create a project d2v in dvd2avi and convert the project in VFAPI. Then import that into CCE. I know this method should work because it was the method I buddy used till he quit doing DVDs. But I?m a little behind the curve.

Try using Avisynth instead.

Having said that, I note that you are using version 2.6.

I thought I read somewhere that version does not support frameserving ?

Have you posted on doom9 CCE section ?
