error when burning with DVD shrink and Decrypter

I get the DVD copied with shrink and Decrypter opens up.I get everything ready to burn....and when I try to start the burning........it says.device not ready..medium not present.

I burnt several DVD's with Sony DVD R's and now am trying to use Memorex.and Verbatim........would that be the trouble.......or is it something else?????

Could be the media, Memorex is crap, but it should still burn regardless. Try updating the firmware for your drive.

Which burner do you have in that PC
Phillips 8401
Lite-On SOHW 822S
Phillips 8421

If you don't know how to check follow this
Right click on My Computer
Select Properties
Click on the Hardware Tab
Click on Device Manager
Click on + sign by DVD\CD-Rom Drives
This should show you your burner I need to know what burner you have in that system?

It is probablly the Lite-On, but I just want to be sure :-)

I dont understand why it would burn my first 2 DVD's and then stop.....only thing I changed was the brand I was using.

Thats exactlly why. that is why flashing the firmware is so important it keeps your burner up to date with the newest media on the market.
Anyway here ya go

Just follow the instructions on that page and update your firmware. Basically just download the file and run the .exe file and restart your computer

ok..i did as you said..........and got the download.

But now DVD Shrink wont even recognize the movie thats in the drive.....
