Okay guys,
VOBblanker now keeps telling me "Input error: reached end of VOB too early" when I click "execute". What gives?

Well it seems I've answered my own question. If VOBblanker gives you the "Input error - VOB reached too early", simply restart the PC with the dvd in the drive. After the reboot, start up VOB again and go through the same steps. I hope this is the answer.

Sony has a new DVD protection so any DVD made by Sony now will probably have it on it!

Sony ARccOS @ http://www.sonydadc.com/americas/prod.newtech.arccos1.go

The way to get around this is to have AnyDVD 4.5.5.1 installed and use DVD Shrink as normal!

You can download the trial version of AnyDVD at there site and if you email me I can email you a regsitry crack that will get you by the 21 trial period!

I have found that ANY DVD & DVD Shrink work best, when comes to copying/burning dvds.

I will be honest though the last protected dvd I burned was RE2. So we will see maybe I will go to blockbuster and rent Little Black Book.

OK chaps, I know this is a long time and by now for you lot, an old stale subject, But I have read and gone through each method for copying Resident Evil2, and I am still having major problems.

Ive used the voblanker method, the shrink with DVDIdle, and Any DVD, twisted and twinked each possible way, but still no joy.

Ive succesfully decrypted the movie onto my HD, using the latest Decrypter, I also have a copy on my hd using Voblanker, and DVD2One. but no matter what I try, I cannot get shrink to copy it, if I author it, I get no picture in the main movies, whether or not I have preview set, I cannot set the start/end of movie, as all I get is a green screen, if I try the method of of shrinking Iso, my shrinker simply crashes, all are the latest updates, I am more frustrated seeing you all have sussed it out by now, and Im still kicking it. What have you all got that I havent got ;)

cor i had fun with resident evil. first film that ever caused grief for me. following one of many many posts i sorted it. AnyDVD trial running, VOB blanker directly from movie disc to hdd, DVD Shrink from there. the reason it gave me so much grief was that playing the movie from hdd resulted in different vob's having sound or not. tried 2 different dvd proggies - no sound in completely different vob's. bit the bullet and burnt to disc . Bam it worked. Hope this doesn't get more common as normally it takes me 15mins to rip a film, plus 15mins to burn, but films like this take like a 2+hour process.

Well I still havent cracked Resident Evil yet, the furthest I have got upto now is a hdd copy, using the latest DVD Decrypter, I still havent managed to access the movie using Shrinker, as it seems well hidden, only offering me a twenty minute trailer in the main movie title.

I have so far as a result, the following :Voblanker, CloneDVD 1 & 2, AnyDVD, DVDIdle, Super Copy DVD, DVD95, DVD43 and DVDSqueeze. I originally only ever needed Decrypter and Shrinker.

Its a tough nut to crack, but Im determined to crack it, I dont like to be beaten ;)

THanx for the Info Bob, I have read this thread from page 1, and agree with you that theyre are many different ways to try it. I have installed Super DVD Copy, and will try to "Back Up" the movie again.

Out of interest, I wonder if at all there is any difference between the Retail and the Rental Version, I'll have to rent it to see if there is ;)
