Hmmmm I seem to remember that ring being blown to sh*t in the final halo 1 cutscene. I also remember cortana said that all was left was "dust and echos" or somthing like that. I wonder how half of it is still completly unharmed.

I dont think that would be very fun though. There would be nothing to do on it. No atmosphere or gravity due to the stopping of the ring. Maybe it would be an okay Multi player map.

It's easy seeing how threre only half of it left. When the Pilliar of Autumn blew, it didnt destroy the ring right then and there. It took a huge section out of it. The rings integrity couldnt hold due to the chunk missing. The spinning of the ring put to much force on the much weakend section and it started to break. It literaly spun itself apart. Some of the pieces of Halo went into outer space and some chunks remained in thresholds gravity. I dont think this piece of ring would be any danger becaue well it has no power source.

Yea that is a good point. maybe she meant only dust and echoes as in no life left. but still how does that explain Sgt Johnson getting off halo w/o cortana knowing. hmmm?

When cortana said all that was left was dust and echoes means she was only getting radio signals of old UNSC transmissions from their experiance on halo from pelicans and things like that. The radio waes were bounching back from threshold hence dust and echoes. As for sergent johnson, he got off of Halo in a peican with like 4 other ppl, when the MC rescued them with a longsword. Beging operation first strike.

Yea i knew he got rescued by them afterwards but im wondering how cortana wouldnt have been able to detect them but i guess thats the way it is.

hehe, how do you become a member anyways.
I'm just on here cos im taking a quick break from reading Fall Of Reach. I got it yesterday and im up to around pg. 190, its the bit where they have to get the civillians out of Cote de azure before they fire the nukes. man i cant stop reading this.... *goes off to read book*

i wish i would become a member soon. o well.
i can't wait till the new map pack comes out. the thing that sucks though is you can only use it on one x box.

Ive got more to add to the Halo 3 wishlist, u know how Halo 2 had that Airborne fight with the Banshees in the 4th level. Well in Halo 3 they should have an airial battle in space with Longsword fighters. I think it would be cool to fly one of those.
