Why do people keep telling this guy to use the new DVD decryptor when he states in his first post that he used the updated Decryptor and it still didnt work.

Download a program call vobblanker.you can get this at www.jsoto.com It will get you past the new threads sony companies are putting on the disk to try and stop burning of dvd's.Figures one of the largest sellers of dvd r/w drives is now trying to prevent us from backing up our collections.Works on re2,dawn of dead, shawn of dead and best of all its free....and very easy to use

You dont need decrypt to beat the new encryption. If you downloaded vobblocker followthese steps
1-insert the dvd in the drive
2-open vobblocker
3-in input folder click your dvd drive that disk is in
4-in output select a folder you will know that vob can download files to(I name mine after movie then add blocked to it
5-on the right side of the upper box(the one with all the files) you will see 5 buttons,The fifth one says process all, click that button
6-at the bottom you will see a button saying process, click it and program starts.
7 when program finishes go to dvdshrink and click --get files
8- find the file you stored you movie to and click on it....Now burn your movie
You wont be able to tell that anything was even done to the movie and it will play great, just remember cheap dvd's make cheap copies-you get what you pay for..Enjoy

Using VOBBlanker I'm now getting a message from Shrink saying it can't find VIDEO_TS_01.IFO.
It seems to me this didn't become a problem on my computer until I downloaded Windows Media player 10.
I received the redundancy thing on a DVD I was able to copy before, I restarted my computer and then it copied.

If you are using vobblanker in the top box that shows all the files you need to click once on one file and then on the buttons on the right side you need to click PROCESS ALL then go to the very bottom and you will see PROCESS click it and it should take about 5 to 7 minutes,in the file you save this info to you need to click the name of the file you stored the movie in(I always call my file after the movie but add blocked to the file name.It sounds like you are not selecting all the files to be copied,If you click on one file and hit process it will only process that ONE file,YOU NEED TO CLICK THE PROCESS ALL button on the right side-then click process at the bottom

Alright.....VOB Blanker did the trick! I finally got the movie out but now it's too big a file to burn onto DVD-R. I opened it throught shrink "open Files" method, but it is compressed as low as possible through default. The compression slider only goes as low as 86%.....usually you can get it as low as 50% but for some reason it won't go anylower. Any thoughts out there?.....Whoa just scrubbed through the movie and found that half way through the movie the video image goes to a green screen...so it seems decrypter, shrink, smart ripper, AnyDVD and VOB Blanker haven't worked so I give up!

In responce to the original question...I think it is that your dvd drive needs cleaning. Have you tried running a cleaning cd/dvd..the ones with the small brushes to clean the lense of the drive. Hope that helps, if you haven't tried that out. I have a problem of my own. Hope someone can help me out. I use shrink and roxio. On some dvd's i recieve an "UNSPECIFIED ERROR [0X1] or sometimes [0x7]". Now what the Hell does that mean? I've realy hit a wall with that. Anyone's help would be much appreciated. thanks

Hmmm...What could it be? fight club not either reading right or burnig completely if I understand you right. Are you using the same media when burning? for the I/O error you may want to try unistalling your optical drive from the device manager and then rebooting the system.Windows will redectect the drive.Do you have the latest firmware update for your burner? www.cdfreaks.com.This helps with reading certain brands of DVDs.Have you considered trying Nero or reinstalling dvd decryptor.Try rolling your system back to an earlier time.I was getting some type of error while burning with dvd decryptor myself.I finally start the burning process with Nero.Of course it may be that if I unistall Nero or similair burning program I won't have a burn issue.I personally use Nero and haven't had any problems, other than buying generic blanks. The thing that I cannot figure out is my brother-in-law has an older computer than me with win98 and just shrink and decryptor and decryptor burn with no problems.Anyhow hope you find an answer.

Well thanks that at least gives me another option to look into. The problem doesnt seem to be the pioneer burner (108). The problem arises while encoding, not when burning (the process right before the burn with shrink) and while ripping to HD in decrytor. Already tried reinstalling all these freeware programs and it hasnt worked. Funny thing is that I bought my dad the same Pioneer 108 for christmas and downloaded shrink for him and he has been able to burn Once upon a time in mexico and Full Metal jacket both of which I've can't seen to rip. And his computer is older and slower!!

Sounds like it has something to do with your DVD burner. Or an adware security thing could have been downloaded to your computer. My burnt discs wouldn't play so I opened up the list of all installed programs and Universal had put something on my computer, I deleted it/unistalled it and every thing worked fine again. Has anyone else had a legit hollywood company disable their bootlegs? It surprised the hell out of me, I've never heard of it before.
