I need your help, I use DVD Shrink V 3.2 along with a demo version of NERO 6606. I have succesfully ripped and burnt 9 movies on DVD+R until The Forgotten, it starts to analyze and stops continuosly at 18% and then becomes non responsive. I believe it has to do wirh CSS encryption and I have tried DVD43, 123 Copy DVD and Setup Clone DVD2 but nothing will decrypt the css. I used DVD Decryptor to rip everything to my hard disk but do not know what to do with it afterwards because it is 8gig.
Any suggestions???
THX
I had the same problem Just get the trial version of AnyDVD 4551 from the Slysoft website. Start it then start DVD Shrink. Worked for me after all else failed.
the solution to your problem is anydvd..anydvd is the only program that can decrtypt the protection of the particular movie!
concerning dvd decrypter you can rip the dvd in your hard drive and then click open files from dvd shrink browse to the ripped movie...and there you are!
one thing i've noticed during the short time i've been reading these forums is that no two people seem to get exactly the same error messages. my particular tale of woe with Cellular and The Forgotten goes something like this:
rip with DVD Decrypter 3.5.2.0 in "ISO - Read" mode, read error at 81%, hit "Ignore", read errors at 98%, hit "Ignore", full disc is now on my hard drive.
fire up DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15, get to about 18% with Cellular (41% with The Forgotten), get one of two messages - "There is not enough memory to complete this command" or "There is not enough storage space to complete this command" - both of these seemed very odd, because i have 90gb free on one drive, 70gb free on another, and 1024Mb RAM.
i *was* able to Re-author Cellular and get just the movie onto a DVD+R, but The Forgotten always crapped out at about 41%, whether i re-authored or copied the full disc.
i tried AnyDVD with DVD2One and Magic DVD Ripper, both crapped out before completing 10%. Shrink crapped out anywhere between 20% and 41% as well.
i defragged the hard drives, maxed out my paging file - no luck trying all of the above *again*.
what eventually worked for me was the following:
AnyDVD 4.5.1.1, then VobBlanker 1.6.0.3, select disc, Process All.
DVD Shrink, Open Files (i processed the whole disc), burn with Nero. not one problem for me going this route with both movies. i have backups of the entire discs (i like having *everything*, even the crappy previews), and both backups work *flawlessly*.
