Hi there. I am too bad at this burning business! I'm trying to burn The Butterfly Effect and Van Helsing however when it starts analysing, after about 40%, it freezes then tells me error. Any sugesstions? Should I give Anydvd running in the background a try?

The latest DVD Decrypter should be able to rip these ok.

Thanks but I already have V 3.5.2.0 decrypter. Any other ideas?

If you have the same trouble with decryter then I would bet that the DVD is scratched or dirty. Try giving it a cleaning.

I leave AnyDVD running all the time.

Thanks. I will try giving the dvd's a good clean first...but when I get home this arve, I will download anydvd and see how it goes. I can only hope :-D

Could also be your puter's getting to hot!!
Try opening her up and blowing out all the dust and making sure your fans are all working good. Then try it again with the cover off of the PC so you know its running cooler and see if that works.

mayo....could be, but i doesn't seem to be hot and I've been running it all day. Could it be coz it is a laptop?

Laptops get much hotter than your average desktop computer. You could try shutting her down for a little while like an hour or so and then boot 'er up and give it a go. Just to see if this is the problem or not.
