I just put the new version of Shrink on my computer and now it saves all the movies as an MDS file and it used to always save them as an ISO, anyone know why it would change? and how to change it back? I use Decrypter to burn and its fine.

I'm only getting the MDS files, but its strange that it all of a sudden started doing this. i'm gonna try putting the old version of shrink back on and see what happens.

DVD Decrypter uses the MDS file to burn.

DVD Shrink 3.1.7.6 can make ISO Image Files.
On NTFS File System drives it will make a single .ISO file.
On FAT 32 File System drives it will also make a single .ISO file. This file must be smaller than 4GB, or an error will result.

DVD Shrink 3.2.0.15 solved this FAT 32 4GB limit problem by using the DVD Decrypter system of split ISO Image Files.
On NTFS File System drives it will make a single .ISO file.
On FAT 32 File System drives it will split the backup file into a multipart or segmented ISO which consists of several 1 GB files with an enumerated extension like .I01, .I02, .I03, .I04 and an .MDS file of a few bytes which holds info on the parts.

What you can do.
1.
Use DVD Shrink and Select backup target:
Create ISO image file: ISO Image File and burn with DVD Decrypter.
This is the automatic way to burn with DVD Decrypter.
Or.
Create ISO image file: ISO Image File.
Open DVD Decrypter > Mode > ISO W
Select .mds file to burn.
This is the manual way to burn with DVD Decrypter.

2.
Use DVD Shrink and Select backup target:
Burn with Nero:
This is the automatic way to burn with Nero.
or
Create DVD Files: Hard Disk Folder.
Open Nero and burn Hard Disk Folder.
This is the manual way to burn with Nero.

3.
If you are using Windows XP or 2000 you can convert your hard drive to a NTFS file system.
