I am having a strange and intermittant situation. on some occasions Easy meadia creator 7 basic (EMC7B)will further compress files that are small enough to be burned directly to a dvd. I don't know why this is happening and I can not find any setting to change compression in EMC7B. Any suggestions or should I utilize another burning program?

The consensus is that you should dump Roxio Easy Creator. It is known to mess with and mess up other dvd software. Roxio Easy DVD Copy on the other hand, is a pretty good application. Nero is a popular application for burning, and the full suite is a great bundle of products.

But you can get an excellent free burner in dvd decrypter.
