IPconfig.dat should be in there. If it is not you can just make your own.

Faplink will also just default to those settings without it as well.

Hay Stinky. First off let me say Thank You. And thank you to many other people on the fourms. This place is great. So much info on many different things. I first came to AD looking for info on a cell phone over a year ago. Didnt look into the rest of everthing here until like the last couple weeks. Wish I would have. Anyway.

Your AIO Disc is great. Frist one took with out a problem. MC Exploit took a few trys but after reading and reading finally got it to work. Has been great.

I have a couple questions though. For stinky or anyone that might know. Ive read many post about loading games from HDD with HD Advance or HD Loader, some games you would press select and choose option 3. With Stinkys HDLoader there seems to be more than 3 options. Just wondering if these are the same as HDAdvance or HD Loader. Which options would be what? Also Ive used Faplink to transfer a few games over. All tranfers go good from first try. But when going to play the games they don't load. Mostly CD based games. For some reason my Paystation won't load them with the loader. So thought I'd try to Fap them over. Like I said that seemed to work but cant seem to play them. Is there something else i need to do before sending them over?

If there is somwhere to read more on this just point a link. I dont mind reading more. Have read and read and haven't or dont remember seeing these questions. Thanxs again for the great info guys.

Buga,

I know nothing about faplink or any other ftp program for the ps2. I have not used them ever and cannot since I use my laptop as a gateway for my ps2 to connect online. I rarely use online play, so I just added faplink for others that may wish to use it.

The version of hdloader you are using is my DVD9 supported one. It adds extra functions. They are new options and I am not completly up to speed on what they all do. If you find a game is NOT working when you run the DVD9 version of hdloader you can boot STINKYS_HDDLOADER instead. This is just a reskinned and patched version of the original. SO pressing select on the game will bring up the 3 modes instead. If a game requires mode 3, simply set mode 3.

You will also find some games that worked the regular hdd loader will NOT work on the DVD9 version. BUT you will also find that games that DO NOT work on the regular hddloader WILL work with the DVD9 version.

Also if you are trying to play GT4 with LAN play you can press select and check off 'enable lan' and it will let you link up with freinds.

Hope that was helpful.

Also if the MC exploit was not working because of a problem with the disk set itself please let me know. If it was a user error thats fine, but if the disk or files need fixing then I would like to know.

Stinky

Thanxs for the help. It gives me more ideas to play around with. Trying different things and stuff can be fun and a pain.

Faplink has been no problem for me. Just cant get CD based games to start once on the HDD. But now I have some things to test. Havent tried the Winhip thingy. Really dont want to open all that stuff up all the time. But who knows. I will probly got to try it just so I know. lol

I think your MC exploit is fine. I think first, my zipper program did not un-zip everything. Which caused to first one to not take. I also wasn't going word for word from the "lookatthemoneys" or what ever that place is. I was missing the cdvd.irx file. Just went and downloaded your exploit again and its in there. But I ended up taking that file from the monkeys installer. Finally thought I did it all right but still problem. Put it in still wouldn't work. Deleted all things id been working with and started over. Went slowly and re-read things several times. Good hint for the newbie. Read, Read somemore, Think about it. Then read again. This time everything went good. I thought. But again didnt work. Then I thought maybe I should check memory card. Duhh!!! Had a full card in and forgot about it. Once I put an empty MC in "poof". No problems. Last 3 discs I made were fine. Just a stupid mistake.

You might want to add to the exploit instructions, the stuff from the "Monkeys". Your own words, or ask permission to use thers. Id still leave the link for people but when doing these types of things I try not being on-line. So I had many things open trying to get this working. Not really a pain, but my system is a bit slow compared to all these newer puters. (800Mhz., Windows ME, 532 Ram DVD-rom, CD\DVD+-RW DL+R) Bought it new many, many years ago. Still doing a good job though. Plus not looking forword to XP. One reason Ive held off. Have used it but hate it.

Anyway, Great stuff. Going to start looking at the emulators next. Figured one baby step at a time. I still have my old 8-bit and 16-bit NES hooked up just for a couple games. Would be nice to play those few games from the PS2 so I could get those old systems put-up. Almost need a Whole Wall Entertainment Center just to fit all the gameing systems. lol

Will look for the donate friday. Keep up the great work. Buga

When I started at looking at these home brew apps and stuff last december I went through 20+ CD's trying to get the exploit to work.

I had to mess with all that because NOBODY could tell me how to make a direct boot Cd with homebrew app like my AIO disk. I FINALLY got the exploit working, but my problem was that no ONE guide seemed complete. They sent you all over looking for different files that you needed. I found the lookatthemonkeys site to be the most helpfull.

The reason I am not planning on writing that guide into my own words is because this disk really is NOT designed for people with unmodded systems. The whole idea was to never have to open the ps2 cd tray ever again. And I can honeslty say that mine has NOT opened for MANY MANY months now. I can just turn it on and in seconds be at launchelf and choose where I want to go, or what I want to do.

I added the MC exploit in 10 minutes for the people that dont have a mod chip so they could get at least SOME use out of my cd.

Glad you finally got it ok.

I was just wondering, i don't have a hard drive but i want to use the emulators, is it still possible to just stick in the boot cd and play the emulators of the disk or do you need to have a hard drive in order for it to work.

mward,
you dont need a HDD to use the emulators, you can just use stinky's ALL-IN-ONE (AIO) disk to play snes/sega games.....juss follow the readme file and you should be on your way......

stinky,
i was wondering if you can give me the link to crazyc's dvd9 patch....im thinking of customizing hdloader (custom skins)to suit my taste and i feel that having the dvd9 patch is a must....

I dont have the link to crazyc's patch anymore. But you can just unpack the version on my aio disk and use any splash screen injector to change them then repacl it. Thats actually what I did. The crazyc patch doesnt mess the original around enough to make the screen changers not work.

I forget which one I used for that though. It was a dos baesd version.

its not very possible for me to help.

I have a fat ps2 and internall hdd.

I tested USBADVANCE only by plugging in my digital camera and seeing if it would format it. It did, and it reconized it as usable space. But no games I have are only 256mb (the size of the card in the camera) so I didnt test any farther.

All I can say is that it works, and has worked.

Is everything else working on the disk?
Try a different hdd, try a different ps2, try a different burnign program, try a different disk medium, try doing it as a CD, try doing it as DVD.

I really cant help you past that.

Ok thank you. I will make this tests. I only tested USb and tretix(e played). For fat PS2, is it necessary to have chip mod or do I use Swap of AIO, installing in HD? My friend have.

Hey, Stinky. This cd is great. Thanks for taking the time to make it and put up that website!

Do you (or anybody else) know of a good site that offers a good selection of roms for the sega emulators included in your cd or should I just not bother and search on bitorrent? I have about 500 snes roms already, but I would like some for the sega emulators as well.

And, do all of the individual rom files have to be unzipped? It seems like they would, but I believe I read somewhere that it isn't necessary. I don't really want to unzip 500 files if I don't have to! Thanks! :)

wollop,

Yes you can play snes, sega, genesis, turbo graphix16, mame, atari and other games ON YOUR PS2.

Hero,

I am under the impression that you can run them in zip format, but I have also heard people have problems tryig it that way.

Your best bet for the games is bittorrent or p2p. Usually they will have game packs you can download, so you dont need to unzip them individually. Personally I would unzip them. Especially since if you have a problem and they dont work, the first thing I will tell you is to unzip them then!!

I can tell you that there is no problem with play SNES and GENESIS

roms in zipped format..

both emus support this format well!

I suggest you burn your roms disks at the slowest speed to

get the best playback.....

I have a couple questions about this disk. I've read through all (at least I think all) of this forum and most of the website, and there are a couple things that I would like cleared up. Also, I have Swap magic disks and a slide card as a "mod".
1. For stinky's disk, I've read that the order that you place the files in matters when making a CD (when you use swap magic). I would like to put the "all in one disk" on a DVD, but I can't find a program that will let me arrange the files in the order that is necessary. Is there a program that is similar to CDgen but can be used to make DVD iso's? The reason I am looking to put this disk on a DVD is so that I can put DivX movies on the DVD (since some of them are rather large, it would be difficult to put them on a CD). I believe there was at least one person in this forum who said he used Swap Magic and put the "all in one disk" on a dvd, but I don't think he specified exactly how he did it.
2. This question is related to the first. I would simply like some clarification on how the DivX player actually works (ps2 media I think is the name). From what I gather, it plays DivX that are on the same disk as the "all in one disk", as well as DivX files that are on an external harddrive. Is it possible to play media that is on another disk. Like...load the media player using the "all in one disk" and then be able to switch to another CD rom or DVD rom that has DivX files on it and watch that. Again, I'm using magic Swap so that may make the switching disk part more difficult than using an actual mod chip.
3. Last question: In the instructions that are written inside the .rar file that the "all in one disk" comes in, it says that you may add more .elf files to the program. Does this mean that you can also remove some .elf files? For example, I pretty much only want to use the Snes emulator and the DivX player. Which files are required for the disk to run properly, and which ones can I not put on the disk.
Thanks for reading, any help would be appreciated!

hypp0crit,
For your first question search the forum for how to do that, maybe even this thread or the previously created one. Im pretty sure that stinky explained how to do it, hehe yes he did and here it is was sitting on desktop :-p
Open Nero burning rom (I dont use express so these instructions will not
use it). Start a new compilation.
4. Make sure you select dvd in the drop menu, it may say cd now but chage
it.
5. Scroll down all the way and select Dvd-Rom (UDF/ISO).
6. On the mutisession tab select no multisession.
7. On the ISO tab make sure there are no check marks in any of the boxes,
(there is one that is greyed out that says allow more than 64 charecters,
dont worry about this).
8. Still on the ISO tab file name length should be max of 11 = 8 + 3chars
Iso level 1
9. Still on ISO tab charecter set should be iso 9660 (standard iso cd rom)
10. Next under UDF tab UDF partion type should be Physical Partition
11. Still inder UDF tab file system version should be UDF 1.02
12. Leave force dvd-video compatability uchecked
13. Under the label tab make up a name for you compilation
14. Dates tab leave it alone it doesnt matter
15. Misc tab make sure each box has a check mark
16. Burn tab, if it is going to be less than s gigs burn at your slowest
speed, otherwise dont worry too much
17. Hit the new button
18. Browse to the BOOT CD folder that you unpacked using WinRAR and put all the files and folders in
there just the way they are
19. Hit burn
20. Sit back and wait
And for your second question:
Yes you can put in a second disk after boot, just burn it as you would anything else.

Playstation 2 ---- Matrix Infinity
Gamecube --------- Ninja Mod
Xbox 360 --------- Firmware Hack
Xbox-------------- Duo X2
PC---------------- Core 2 Duo e6850, 9800gtx, 4gig ddr2-8500, 780i Vista 64-bit

you can put DivX movies on a different disk, then load the DivX player, then p[ut in the movie disk you want to watch.

Try just burnign it in Nero the way it says. it may work no matter what order the files are in with your sm disks.

If you are putting it on DVD you are NOT saving much space by deleting the other .elfs you dont think you will need. Maybe 1 or 2 mb at the most. I would just leave them.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I do have another question though. I've decided just to put the "all in one disk" on a cd-r, and I'm going to use it load the DivX player and then switch discs to play video files on different discs. However, the media player does not seem to be working, even for video files that are on the same CD as the "all in one disk". Once I select the Video file in the browser, the screen flashes to the ps2 reality screen and then it seems to be loading the file. However, once it gets to a black screen that says "Play the movie..." at the top, it just stops there. If anyone has any idea what I'm doing wrong, please help me out. I'm using swap magic 3.6 with slide card. I used CDgen and then Nero to burn the "all in one disk", and I put all the .elf files on the CD that came in the downloaded package (I doubt this makes a difference).
