My computer freezes while DVD Shrink it is encoding Donnie Darko (Director's Cut).
I'm new at this but I do know about the "running man" and Arccos. I did not see the running man while the DVD was encoding so I assume that is not the problem.
Any ideas?
My computer:
Win 98 SE
650 Mhz, Pentium 3
128 MB RAM
40 GB hard drive- 11 GB free space
NEC ND-3520A burner
I uninstalled CD Creator and Nero (using the complete uninstall methods)
Microsoft Windows Updates are current
I defragmented recently
Not much for specs there, have you been able to burn successfully, with that computer?
Your lacking in Ram, and hdd free space. Most movies arent much over 8gb's, but that doesnt leave you much leftover for your os.
It doesnt really surprise me, that your crashing.
i guess it's your (lack of) RAM there. CPU is ok, if a tad slow at ripping (ok it's dreadful!). My previous ripping machine was a P3 500, but i had 384MB RAM. It took ages, but ripping never once failed.
I copied Donnie Darko without any hassles, it was out before the newer protections. I was gutted with this film, watched it all way thru and in the end didn't actually enjoy the film and would never watch again :)
