I have been using DVD Shrink for about 60 movies. The process time to backup a full movie was about 20 min and that included burning. I was also able to print labels and so on. Lately the total process time has become right about 6o min. Also any additional multi tasking has become real slow.

Note that no changes to settings or media has occured. has this been an issue with anyone else?

You guys are GREAT. I have two dvd drives and one of them was locked in PIO mode. Per the instructions that you gave me, I had to uninstall the one that was giving me trouble. After a couple of reboots I backed up LADDER 49 in re-author and total process time was 16 min 48 sec. And as expected, multi-tasking was a breese. Thanks a million.

Your welcome, multitasking usually isnt advised, but if it works for you then great...If you suddenly start coming up with read errors, then you'll know the culprit.

I agree...sometimes when I do other tasks at the same time the disk will have errors. (part of the movie missing etc.). Once again...thanks for your time.

You guy's are very lucky. I let srink use deep analysis (when converting the movie to ISO format) & that takes around 2.5 hours on my Sony P4 1.7 GB maching with 512GB of ram.
