I'm playing the GT4 game while you're on a forum pretending to roll on the floor(like my bitch does!).
Who's the loser? Hey, sobstory, i got a note for you. I'm half done with this game. And oh yea, keep wagging that tail of yours, roll, roll, sit! Nice bitch.
I'm not selling it. I just want the game to be with whoever wants it. End of story. My post has a no.5 point exactly for guys like you.

damnit199, the game that you got has probably been copied by pressing the discs using a special machine, not a dvd burner. thats why your game works. but the problem lies here, us normal people dont have dvd pressing machines and even if it were for sale i dont think anyone would buy it because its too expensive. we are trying to backup this game using a dvd writer either on a dual layered dvd disc or on single layered disc (dvd9 and dvd5). and the other thing you said is
"I'm playing the GT4 game while you're on a forum pretending to roll on the floor(like my bitch does!)."
well, most of us have the game bought original from the shop, not like your version which is copied. why dont you go buy the original disc? we want to make a backup of this game because some of us dont like our original discs getting scratched and ruined. lets see, why dont you try and make a backup of your game? oh, i forgot, your disc has been pressed and if you want to backup this game then you would need to read the thread. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum and this is my 1st post.
I speak english only a little, coz it isn't my first language.
I'm so tired of waiting for working (DVD not HDD) buckup of GT4.
I have SCPH-39004 ps2 PAL version with Ripper 1 mod. I want to buy original Gran Turismo 4 (dvd9, Pal) - will it run with this chip?
For me it's a looot of cash so I can't risk too much. THX

Ok now everyone knows that we can probably make a bakcup of this game to a DVD9 using toolboys methods and patches. Now, most of us might have a dual layered burner but some of us don't have dvd9 burners. Now I think we should concentrate on how to fit the game on a DVD5. God Of War has been backed up by ripping some video files, why can't we do the same to GT4? Why don't we try and either make the audio and video lower quality so that it would fit on one DVD5 or remove some of them that we don't need, i.e adverts.
I am going to try and help everyone here, first of all i want to know what programs i need to extract the GT4.VOL and GT4L1.VOL files, then i need a software to resample the video and audio to lower quality, then I need a software to build the GT4.VOL and GT4L1.VOL files back together. By the way if we are going to make a DVD5 backup of this game I think we should try and put all the files that are in GT4L1.VOL into GT4.VOL so that we only have one file thats got everything.
Could someone please give me a link or a name on where i can get these softwares.

That's the problem. They obviously still don't have the right software. What they need is a working vol extractor/rebuilder but the old ones don't work (from gt3 and gt4p). About just one gt4.vol file; I don't think that's a good idea it's better just to shrink the gt4l.vol(removing some video). But they still havent figured out how to burn a dvd9 that's working on most mod chips (not toxicOS) I think they should do that first.

I have the same problem as Miguel10. I copied it through DVD Decrypter and alcohol. Even tried the book type set to dvd-rom. I have matrix with 1.4 firmware, v9 ps2. I put it on my harddrive, but I also want a backup of it on dvd. I bought a pack of 5 dvd's and have 1 left (used other to Write GT4 and all failed. Comes to PLEASE INSERT PS2 Disc). is The any settings to set in DVD Decrypter to make it work. I also wrote it at slowest possible speed.I have a Lite-on 1633S Dvd-writer. Please help.

I highly suggest you take a peek at the forum rules and not ask for serials, cracks or keygens again ;)

Hi, i'm new over here, I'm from Argentina, do you guys know if I can play backed up versions on dvd9 in my ps2 50001, I've Mars Pro 2 gm603, btw.... I didn't "hear" anything about this modchip in this forum, is it too old? In the case it works for me, which of the methods discussed here would work for me?
Here in Argentina a blank dvd9 costs u$s12 and the average salary is $300, so I don't want to mess around with this media :\
Thank you guys!!!!

Guys,
PLEASE don't waste any more DVDR DL discs trying to burn a DL copy of this game!!! The DVD9 kits I released for DL burns do NOT work.....
I repeat, it will NOT work......if you have a DMS chip (or similar) with their new BIOS that supports DVD9, then you can just burn the ORIGINAL DVD9 ISO of this game, and play it with the supported chips...
but for now, nothing else will work on DVD9....
Our best hope for now is if someone can figure out a VOL extractor/rebuilder.....not much progress on making a real DVD9...

How about not posting instructions for using cracks and patches either. Have you had a look at the forum rules yet?

Whoa wait Toolboy I thought you got Dvd9 media working bro, wasn't sure but heard something from like ps2-scene saying something like that.I think it could be possible if you join the two .VOL files together man.The .VOL files are actually one file man,so if you can join the .VOL files it will burn it proper on a Dvd9.I used a tool called simple file joiner not that long ago,if you would like to check it out.I wouldn't worry about it though, because Dvd9 media is still pretty expensive.

tokolop, there is no need to say that, if the thing had to be removed because of the rules then it had to be removed. Why don't you complain to sony about making this game so hard to backup instead of complaining to a person who just follows the rules?
pro`noob - you said "oh and i think somebody requested a ban....... ^^
