Bypassing the Open Disc Analysis on Shrink

On some of my DVDs, I get cyclical redundancy errors during the open disc analysis. This error, however, may come at points not in the movie (ie trailers, behind the scene interviews, etc). In these instances, can Shrink be forced to analyse or open just the main feature to bypass the error?

You will get those if there is a scratch at that area. Try recleaning the DVD real well and rip it w/ DVDDecrypter and now pay attention to if you get any read errors. If you do then that is where the scratch or the bad press( could be small bubble when they pressed the disks together) could be.
Shrink has to read the whole disk during initial analysis and there is no way to my knowledge that you can force it to read through the errors.

Try clicking ReAuthor before open disk or file. Browse to the DVD drive see if you can select the title of the main movie. Shrink should then begin analyzing only the Main Movie Title.

DVD Decrypter. Click on Mode and select File F. Then click on Tools, Settings and selcect the File Mode tab. In the drop down menu for On Startup select Main Movie. This will decrypt the main movie only to a file. You can open the file with Shrink re-author.

Yes but I don't have that much time. After a year of aD I've picked up a trick or two. A kick ass PC makes the task much easier when it comes to DVDs.
