burna what program are you using to actually extract files from the pak files dude, ive tried a few pak file extractors but they are specific for quake engines, what is the best to use?

Hey wats up man,sorry for the late reply but I am using http://www.cubemediaplayer.com this utility.I have succeeded already in extracting the movie files,just need to figure out a way to join the PART1.pak and PART2.pak files.If anyone is willing to try something out for me,someone that can support Dvd9 games on Dvd+R DL discs(modchip that supports Dvd+R DL media) this could make it alot easier also.I just need to know if this will work before I continue.I am thinking of just joining the two .pak files into a .iso format change it to PART1.pak,pop the sucka in at the end of the file list where it is normally located.This is the method for modchip peeps.The method I am looking at for Swap Magic peeps is to open the joined file PART1.pak file in cubemediaplayer.Inject the downsized movies so it will fit for Swap Magic peeps.I think ripping some of the movies are going to be the hardest part.I can downsize them,but if it doesn't equal a reasonable size for Swap Magic.I might have to completely rip some of the movie files out,which sucks for real.Always keep trying also,this protection will break sooner or later.

Yes I can definately confirm the PART2.pak file is the second half of the game,just by looking at the movies.I have already played and beat the game also,so I know where all the movie files are located.

Okay cool. You guys keep working at fitting it on one disc.
I'm going to try and figure out if theres anyway to do it on two dvd5s.
I don't have a lot of experience, but I have a few ideas.

so for us swap magic guys, we'll have to first merge part1 an part2 pak2 part together, creating the 8 or so gig file, the load the pak file into cubemedia, will cubemedia player extract the files as well as inject them burna? or do we have to extract them another way, an as for downsizing, are we going to have to use vdub, or is there a method in cubemediaplayer bro,

That is the catch with cubemediaplayer though Troy1,if you have the demo version of it.They take out the option of extracting the files.I had to buy it,I think it was only like 15 dollars,but it has been the best I have used so far in getting movie files.It lets you extract all the media files,plus it lets you either delete or replace the media files.The downsizing part would probably have to come with something like TMPGEnc or a some video software to lower the quality of the video resolution.In downsizing you definately need to get a hold of something that will decrease the size,Blaze Media Pro is another video editing software.Make sure you look for programs like this,you can then pop them in and limit the size.The cubemediaplayer program is good for extracting and replacing the files,making it where the video files will not get scrambled.I will keep you posted on progress an so forth.

ok i can do the downsize thing, when it comes to the pak files best to join pak1 an pak2 together right with cmd or cdvdgen rename it to part1.pak as a whole both joined i mean, then insert part1.pak as a whole right that would be easier for us swap magic people bro?

Yeah sure man no problem,I also am joining the files at the moment.I went and got this program http://www.peretek.com/sfj.php it is called Simple File Joiner,and it working like a charm.The good thing about this program is that it is joining the files not in a .iso format,but guess what it is joining them in a .PAK format :-).Good news to come real soon,and hey Troy1 hook me up with your email ok so I can give you the cubemediaplayer the demo alright.

Yes the GT4 issue could be solved also,if this method works.I just hope it works,from what I understand it has a possibility of working not sure though.I hope for the best this method works like a charm though,not just for God of War but also for GT4.

I finally got to the freeze point. I highly doubt 2 discs is going to work b/c of where it freezes and the disc is still spinning when it freezes.
I'm just hoping you guys will figure something out!

God_of_War_USA_PS2DVD5_PROPER-ConFuSiON Does anyone know what this is? Is it a patch? Or is it a disc image? Does anyone know where I can download it. I heard that currently this makes it past where the others the fourth level freezing. Thanks for any help.

all that i can tell you dude, is that from very reliable sources the game is fully operational, but as for the downloading part, i dont think this forum allows me to suggest any, just search around youll know after a few searches,

but some people saying that instead of hangin on lvl 4 it hangs on lvl 5.. is this true??... i want to try joining the pak files too but i dont have the Iso yet.. well iLL be waiting for the results..

I also agree with the downloading part,it doesn't contribute to any of us.If we don't know what they did,besides GT4 hasn't been successfull yet.I know you are trying to help out talking about a download,but for some people downloading the games is not on option and if you don't own the original it is illegal.I just successfully joined the files at a near 7.93Gig file,named it PART1.pak which should be the full game.I am going to start taking the vids out,and downsizing real soon.
