My friend is playing the confusion version right now, He said, it didn't freeze at the specific point in the previous version.(chapter 4) But I'm not sure, this version will make any freezes at some place in the future, It is uncertain..

has anyone tried using apache 2.0?
it's a "very useful tool to extract game files and view second layer dvd9 disc and many more features "
u can find a copy if u register on http://www.alucard.cc/index.php

but i have no idea how to use it, does anyone know? in the meantime i'll try to figure it by myself.

You use apache 2 to extract layer 1 for dvd-9 games.
(iso-buster will only extract layer 0 not layer 1).
its pretty simple to use.
And its needed to use sonix gow tool,

decrypter rips both layers, you just cant see them, so you have to use apache after having the iso from decrypter to extract layer 1,

thats what im in the process of now.

dvd decrypter will not exrtact layer 1.
the game will freeze at level 4.
apache 2 will extract both layers 0 and 1

This is from SONIX @ ps2nfo.com

can this be used on a disc image? If so, Do I have to use isobuster to extract the TOC files into a different directory before I can use it?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx.

Use Apache2 to extract both layers of the ISO to your pc. Run the tool to extract the contents of the 2 *.PAK files.

Anyone else getting a CRASH when they run Sonix's tool?

I open the Toc. Choose Rebuild. It starts. then I get a crash that says:

Tool MFC Application has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Then it gives me some kind of assertion error with wincore.cpp

just played around with apache
it seems that u can only extract layer 1 directly from the original game itself
if u use decryter to rip a iso file, u cant use apache to extract layer 1
