DvD Shrink Newbie Question

How can I burn just the main movie with menus from a dvd without the extras so i can keep the full quality of the movie??

1. Open Disc. This will analyze the disc
2. Click on the Re-Author button
3. You should now see a load of Titles?
4. Click and drag the main title (usually the biggest) to the left window (under where it says DVD)
5. Hit Backup
6. You can now select whether you want to burn to dvd burner, image recoreder or hard disc. (Iusually select hard disc)
7. Select target folder for dvd files.
8. Hit OK
9. The result should be a VIDEO_TS folder in the target specified
10. Burn using Nero

I haven't tried this yet but on step 9 will I get an iso or just several files in the folder, if so how would I burn this with Nero??

you will get files inside the VIDEO_TS folder.
What you do then is.-
1. Open Nero Burning Rom
2. Select dvd-Video and hit new
3. Select the VIDEO_TS folder you have created,(Don't open it)
4, Click and drag to the left hand red VIDEO_TS folder ( doesnt matter which, you get the same result.
5. Hit Burn icon (Match in front of disc)
6. Hit burn.
I'ts always best not to select the fastest speed for burning. If burning with 8x discs burn the next speed or so down. This way you are less likely to get coasters. Another tip, always use a good disc. Cheap=coasters, also they are less compatible with other dvd players.

hi
to keep all, do full disc but find/click on all extras and make them still image! it will drop from say 3gig to 1meg
getting an iso is up to you! when you hit backup/full disc you will see a few output types you choose one! like burn with DVD Decrypter burn with Nero, make iso image only no burn....

That's funny. On my Nero I select burn DVD files and I must select all files in the Video_TS folder and burn them. It will not work if I try to burn the actual folder.

Are you using Nero Burning Rom?, and do you use dvd-video? There are other ways, but I find this the easiest.

Actually I'm using Nero Express. But it does say "burn DVD video"

Why drag all the sepearte files over? Drag the VIDEO_TS folder over. 1 less operation.

Yes. If you drag the VIDEO_TS folder ( with all your files in) to the left window under where it says NEW and drop it on top of the red VIDEO_TS folder, as shown by your drawing, you will find you get the same effect as you have stated but with less key/mouse strokes. :-)

A PICTURE SPEAKS A 1000 WORDS hehehehe
i do use that sometimes if i make avi > dvd stuff or mpeg > dvd / etc...
but dvd shrink and dvd decryter for dvd to dvd...
but i keep most films in ISO and burn with decrypter...

Hi,
Can somebody help me? Everytime I double click on either DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter, my iTunes opens up. But nothing else happens. Shouldn't I be able to install it? I have an iMac G4.
