hi, ok this shadow of rome thing... this must sound like a broken record to most of you. is there a step by step guide for backing this one up. or can someone make me one or tell me in detail what to do. i have tryed and tryed. i wasted 8 dvd-rs. i used iobuster and cdvdgen and apache3. i replaced the dummy.bin with a 1k text and still it does not work. is there a patch i am missing? what is the deal with this game. it does not really need to be shrunk so it can't be too complicated. all the time my swap magic 3.6 says "not vaild ps2 disk". i know the easy dvd decyripter, i have backed up over 50 games now. shadow of rome has me stumped.... help!!!!!!.... please, thanks

I was hoping somebody could help me out.

I currently have the ISO file for Kingdom Hearts, but have been unsuccessful in burning it onto a dvd from there. I've used programs like Nero and am going to try Alchohol 120% next.

If it wasn't too much trouble, could you give me a step by step of where to go from here? (Here being having the ISO and both Nero 6 and Alchohol 120 at my disposable)

Do I need a patch? Do I need to select the lowest writable speed possible?

any tips would be helpful. thanks.

I made a backup of Star Ocean 3 that doesnt work for some odd reason.
Using the newest swap magic disks and the newest DVD Decrypter. Burning at 1x on a lite on burner using sony DVD-R disks. No Idea why it wont load.
Have the same problems with Inuyasha Fuedal Combat, Makai Kingdoms and Radiata Stories as well.
Completely boggled.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie and this is my first thread. To get to the piont: I've successfuly backed up over 100 games with Drag N Drop and have used Nero 6 at a friends house as well. The problem I'm having is with fight night 2004 using DVD-R KHypermedia 4X disks which have worked with everything else I have. I've read all the threads regarding fn2004 and thought I had the answer after using DVD Decrypter on a 1x burn, but even that doesn't work. Yes, I've tried Run>msconfig>setup and unchecking everything and rebooting too. Do I have to use different media or what? I've gone through many coasters and many threads on this issue and need some help. Thanks in advance.

I'm having quite some touble with metal gear solid 3 snake eater, for some reason or other the game continues to freeze in the exact same spot adter there has been a short video. Does this mean that it needs to be rebuilt or something? And if so would someone who has succesfully burnt it be able to tell me how, many thanks, Jeff

For thoes off you who have failed and given up on backing up "Killer 7" i done it on my second attempt... well first really! my brother did it the first time n didnt no what he was doing haha... but yea, simple DUMMY FILE inside, RUN it, delete all the 0's and save it so it shows as 0bytes.

Open The IML Exporter program,CD/DVD GEN... drag the files in the order they were when the iso was opened using ISObuster, but instead of draging the DUMMY.file from the .iso, drag it from whereever you saved the other DUMMY.file....You know the drillafter bout filling in the SLES/SLUS and so on...then converte the iml to iso then burn at 4x speed using dvd drcrypter...

i dont no why i just typed all of that, but for thoes that dont like giving up! there u go =)

Peace

Its two dvds or a DVD9, not too sure which one :S, but if its a DVD9 it needs to be rebuilt, if its two dvds, both dvds need to be rebuilt and then merged.

Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance is dual layered (DVD9) so I made an ISO which was 5.99 GB, used isobuster then I converted the extracted files to three BIN files (.00X) using CDVDGEN. Then I merged them using DOS to get a 2.22 GB iso which I then burned to a DVD5, but got the problem stated above. Then I merged them using the IML2DVD program but got the same problem. Any ideas on what I did wrong. I followed the instructions from the forum "Rebuild wiht isobuster."

I recently had my ps2 modded and have tried running backup games but the reader is struggling to cope. It still plays originals fine, however backups range from the audio being a little out of sync or the game being slow to load to the game not being able to load at all - the loading screen comes up, but after about ten minutes I give up. I have tried using different brands of media, DVD+R and DVD-R. I am using Alcohol 120% to burn the games. Any ideas? :D

ok guys, I was hoping I could get some info. I've been reading all about burning Ps2 games and I'm confused somewhat. I don't want to get a mod-chip, so I need to buy the fliptop and Swap Magic correct? If so, what version do I need of SM? I currently have DVD+r's right now for dvd movies. Do those work or will I need to use DVD-r's for PS2? I just got DVD Decrypter and Shrink. Basically, I need some sort of checklist on what I need and what I need to do, or can someone send me a link to a guide?that would be soo helpful. Thanx
