did you rebuild god of war?
If you didnt its gonna freeze on the 4th level.
You can remove content and make it a dvd5 that
will play all the way through.

Yeah, unfortunately I found that out the hard way, but I did get it fixed. There are only a few games on there that needed to be rebuilt/fixed: The Guy Game, God of War, Mercenaries, and there may be another one in there. I haven't run into problems with some games that other people have had with Goldeneye: Rogue Agent or Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow. They burned fine with nothing wrong, and I beat both. Yeah I haven't been around that much, cause I've been playing too many games! That's not even a quarter of what I have, we've still got XBox, Gamecube, Neo Geo Pocket Color, N64, Dreamcast, Playstation, Nintendo DS, PSP, (and a bunch of non-burned PS2 games) that all need my attention as well!

I have used DVD Decrypter with DVD Shrink and Nero for back ups to movies but can you tell me what you use for PS2? Looks like your a pro with that list you have. thanks

Not a problem DMAC68. I wouldn't say I am a pro, I have been through plenty of DVD's to get where I am today. But I am using the same programs. Nero and DVD Decrypter will make copies of PS2 games just fine about 99% of the time. There are some that need to be rebuilt/fixed to play a working burnable copy, but they are few and far between. The only thing is that you will have to have either your PS2 modded or being using something else to load them like Swap Magic. I purchased and replaced my old ver. 7 PS2 case with a fliptop to make it easier to use the Swap Magic discs. And I am glad I did. If your looking to start playing backups just search around a little bit to make up your mind which is the best method for you.

Hello there....Hey about shadow of rome I have problema backing up the game. I used all the steps that other forums post it. Except the one that you download a patch when the game is in .iso form. Patch name is Shadow_Of_Rome_USA_PS2DVD-CDZ-SMFIX_DVDRick.zip. But ps2nfo.com doesn it have it anymore??. Or the dvd rick link i dont see it there. If you can guide me or direct me to a working guide of backing up this game or provide me a place where i can get the patch i will appreciated very much.

hi i am having alot of problems with my xenosaga II back ups. could you please tell the exact steps you took to burn xenosaga II i need to know what version of swap magic you used as well as what program used to burn it and what speed and what media you used. as well as any other third party boot disks you may have used. everytime i back it up i have the problem where the voices cut out durring cut scenes and the music cuts out durring battles.

You may be burning too fast on crappy media Nikito (sorry I didn't answer your PM). What I used was Nero's copy disc function for both games. I burned them to Imation 8x DVD-R's at 1x. Using Swap Magic ver 3.3 to load them, both discs work perfectly, I beat the game and absolutely love it.

I am about to back-up street racing syndicate and I have done a bit of searching around and seen that some people had trouble backing up this game. I have ps2 v.9, swap magic 3.3, slide card. I use DVD Decrypter. WIll I have any problems backing up this game or is there something special I should do. Also if I patch for online play will it work.

well you guys have both great list of games as do i but im not in the mood right now to list all backups i have made just a quick ? as to your onlines back up i cant seem to get the new games to work any clue to as why. am i burning to fast usely all games comes out good on 8x.
if you have the right skillz you can do almost anything. now if you chose to burn others then you have no skillz P.O.E

this game runs but in main menu it says that i should insert the original cd/dvd. i read here that this game works with sm.
i have version 2.0, is this the fault?
i´ve downloaded 3.3, but didn´t burn it yet.

If you burn SM ver 3.3 and try to use it, it's not gonna work. I have never seen anyone make a successful backup of Swap Magic. Giginho-why do you have these weird long names for games? Are they downloaded versions from the internet? If they are, then sorry we can't talk about that here, they have P2P forums for that. My backup of Chaos Theory is a PAL version, and it works fine with SM 3.3, the only thing wrong with it is the game just flat out sucks. There hasn't been a good Splinter Cell game since the first one, and that's the XBox version. As far as Piglet's Big Game goes, I'm actually glad I copied that one, cause I stepped on the original scratching the hell out of it, and when my wife tried to play it, it wouldn't work. There would have been hell to pay if I had no backup!
