DVD Shrink not recognizing DVD in drive?

I tried to go through the guide you have online but I cant get very far because when I'm in the Shrink software it doesnt read the DVD in the drive, it says to insert DVD but there's one already in there. Not sure what I'm doing wrong?

Make sure your media is not bad. What kinda blank media are you using? Is this your first time, or have you succeeded before?

Also, if you have more than one drive, make sure you specify which one to read and write to.

first off is it the original disc it's not recognizing? Or the blank one?

Next, make sure you have the correct drive selected.

Make sure your drive is set to the correct region and the disc matches that region.

ditto on everyone's suggestions. i have that problem frequently myself for some reason. usually i just open and close the drive again and that takes care of it. sometimes it takes unusually long to recognize it also so i just make sure i wait a little longer and give it time to recognize it. oh yeah, it's almost always the original disc i have trouble with, not the blank.
