I am having a problem with Dvd shrink that just started happen. When I'm buring a disc it comes up this message that goes like this:
Dvd Shrink encountered an error and cannot continue:
Failed to read file "E:\"
Data error (cyclic redundancey check).
can somebody tell what to do fix this problem???

CRC errors usually come from a dirty/scratched/damaged/defective original disc. Try to clean it up, then use Decrypter to rip the movie, but before you rip it, check out ScubaPete's guide and tweak Decrypter like he says to do it. The link for his guide can be found in my sig.

Yo gmo, crc errors can also mean the newer encryptions like on spanglish.These newer encryptions are giving us crc errors for DVD Shrink. Downloading the latest version of DVD Decrypter usually takes care of this issue,unless it is a scratched or just a plain bum disc.Lots of those socalled "BUM" discs seem to be leaving the manufacturers. Usually either way,you want to go through DVD Decrypter for your ripping needs like squizzle posted.It's a more powerful ripper and it does help some members with damaged dvd's.

What's the name of the movie you are trying to backup?

Is it an original disc or a backup copy?
