Try different/ better media. Imation may be good for data but not necessarily movies.

Here is the site for Imation

http://www.imation-southasia.com/products/burners/16x16_Internal_Double-Layer_Drive.html

At the bottom you will see firmware update. Use the Nero info tool if you have it to determine what drive you have and its firmware.

You can only flash firmware for your particular drive, it must be same model.

? How do I check my burner type and firmware version?
Burning software will usually provide this information. For example, if you are using Nero 6.0 software, simply select 'Recorder' and then 'Choose Recorder'. A window with the list of your drives will appear, providing all the information you need.

Alternatively, you can download Cd-Dvd-Speed on www.cdspeed2000.com. This program will provide you with the list of your drives with installed firmware versions.
You need to know the mfr of your drive, not just the model number.

Read the above quote, either use Nero or download the program CD-DVD Speed

http://www.cdspeed2000.com

or

http://www.dvdinfopro.com/

this will tell you the info on your drive and firmware. The Imation site is stating that there are other mfr of their products, i.e NEC, LG, etc. You have to find out which one is your drive, the info tool should give you this, also if you cannot find out this way then contact Imation Support and state your problem. :-)

How to use the NeroTool to find out your current firmware version.

Try this:
Open InfoTool.exe

Once it finishes retrieving information....

At the top left, select your burner from the drop-down menu.

Click on the "Drive" tab.

Your current firmware version will be listed near the top right corner of the tab.

I went to the site listed and do not see any firmware listed there for your burner. As this is a new burner there may not be any new firmware.

I assume you are using Nero. Could you please post the burn log? It does not do much good to refer to someone elses. We need to see yours. That will also have the current firmware listed BTW.

You may have to do another burn to get a burn log. You can go into your Nero installation folder and find the folder that contains burn logs as well. May take a bit of looking though. Most of the time it's just easier to make a new one and save it.

Be sure to remove your Nero Serial Number before posting. It usually starts with 1a23 0r 1a20...something like that.

Here is your error:

4:01:00 PM #24 CDR -1106 File Writer.cpp, Line 311
Power calibration error

This is usually a burner problem.

Slowing the burn speed down, using -R media may help. Sometimes dirt or dust in the burner can cause this error.
A failing power supply, rarely.
If the burner is under warranty, return it for repair or replacement.
