DVD Shrink won't even start!

I've been using DVD Shrink for over a year now, and I'm currently using build v3.2.0.25.

For some reason, the last time I went to use DVD Shrink it wouldn't even start! If I monitor Task Manager then I see "DVDShrink.exe" appear briefly (for 1-2 seconds) and then it disappears. And the DVD Shrink GUI never appears.

I've actually had to completely reinstall my OS recently and I'm getting exactly the same problem. I've no other DVD Authoring software installed except for Nero v6.6.0.13 so nothing should be conflicting. I even tried removing Nero but it didn't help.

I looked for an application log in the DVD Shrink directory but didn't see one. And there's nothing in the normal "Event Log | Application Log" either.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I could try and track down what's causing this?

System config;

Windows Server 2003, Standard Edition with Service Pack 1
Dual-Xeon CPU
2GB RAM

Your version of Windows and type of CPU is probably preventing DVD Shrink from starting because of Data Execution Prevention. You may have to add an exception to DEP allowing it to run.

Thank you, that worked a treat. Disabling DEP for "DVD Shrink.exe" has allowd it to starup successfully.
