hello Ive been reading all your posts (jpp especially) and i cant unlock my 2 nokias 6230b RH-28 (cingular).Can you help me unlock them?
imei:355032001437304 and imei:355032001437221
and when entering do you keep the sim or not.This was not an option on the older nokias. Forward thanks for the help.

Start a new post
Remove sim first,power on the phone.
After the phone boots up, press #
Press * 3 times fast for (p)
Press * 4 times fast for (w)
Press * 2 times fast for (+)
Verify code before pressing the last #.
"Phone restrictions off", it's unlocked!!(No Private Messages Please)

I have a Nokia 6230i, In Australia locked to Optus.
IMEI 356 223 004 219 570
I have tried the codes generated by various programs and nothing happens. I have tried to do this quite a few times now and cant see anything I have been doing wrong. Your help is greatly appreciated!

I tried to type 4 codes, but instead of getting error messages or a successfull unlock message, like other people in this thread have stated, I got no responce.
Can anyone help?

First try this, Insert a non accepted sim, press the undo button, a box should appear saying enter restriction code, enter the code given and press ok.
Or you could have the wrong code, or you are not entering the code properly.
#pw+039943454761555+7# this should be the correct code. Only try if the above does not work with the code you already have
Australian mobiles are very diffcult to unlock.
Remove sim first,power on the phone.

It said code error.
At least there was some responce this time. It must be because I needed to have the sim in, instead of out.
Yeah but the code didnt work. Sorry to be a pain in the ass.

Sorry it did not work for you.
There are a few of us here that are trying our best to find a solution as to why the Australian mobiles do not unlock as easily as the rest of the world.
Hopefully we will come up with a solution soon!

Looking for help with unlocking my nokia 6230 ( non i version ) phone is currantly on the " one to one " network but notice that it will also work with T-mobile, now want to allow my phone to accept my vodaphone sim card.
located in the uk, the imei # 355009007444690
if I insert a vodaphone sim card in just now I get a message saying please insert restriction code, I take it when I receive the correct unlocking code I should enter it into this box with the new vodaphone card inserted -yes /no ??
any help / advice would be very much appreciatted.
