I took all the Advice that was given. But I still have to wait for at least one hour and thirty mins. For the shrink and burn process to be finished. I use a P3 with 256RAM 860MHZ and Windows XP. I did used reg cleaner Pro like some one suggested and Tried the DMA in Device Management but I'm still at 1 1/2 hours. If there is any thing else that I could do to improve the Speed let me know.

Thanks
Shark

I'm not sure you're going to get any more out of that baby. I haven't read your other thread but try to eliminate all un-needed programs such as, firewall, anti-virus, anti-spyware, any other programs in your taskbar beside your clock. Every program in your taskbar takes away resources.

Are you doing a full backup? I used to do full back up; extras, menus, etc. and it would take forever. Decided to do a reauthor of just the main movie and instead of an hour and a half, I can now do the entire rip, shrink & burn in 35 minutes. There are still some movies I do full back up, but for 99% of them, it's main movie only for me.

not a lot to add to the other replies other than what's already been said - try movie-only in Shrink.
I have a very fast machine and still do movie-only, takes 15mins max for most films.

U could possibly try to insert more memory possibly doubling what u have. Also, are you using the computer for any other function during that time? If u r that could be taking away resources from Shrink. Shut everything else down including the internet and see if that improves anything. Also, like the others said, just back up the main movie. U'll never miss the menus and it's nice to just pop in the movie and have it start playing. This is especially good when ur backing up movies for kids. My four year old can just put the movie in himself and sit back. No need to even try to find the remote control ;0)
