For those keeping score at home, NFS:MW for the PS2 does not appear to be an Online game despite the logo found on the case. There have been reported cases of miscommunications like this before, Backyard Wrestling (2?) comes to mind.

There is no pro evolution soccer 5 NTSC, that game is PAL. Socom 3 backup doesn't work online.

Socom 3 using additional checks to prevent cheating by its users. A consquence of this system is it also prevents using copied discs to play online (atleast thats my understanding).
As far as I know, Socom 2 doesnt work online anymore either (but it did at one point).

what mik said is right. Socom 2 backup was working online at the beginning but they implemented an "anti-cheating" patch and after someone downloaded that it would give people the "cheating device detected" message and boot them off the servers (for the backups). Although some people claim to be able to play socom 2 backup online I still haven't found a reliable source with instructions or explanation of how they did it.

its pretty good, better then NBA 2K6 but its the same engine ... I'd do it myself but I have problems with Disc ID utility DVD.

I need one for NBA 2k6. And btw, the game is good. Way better than that live crap that that crappy ea makes.

I have a perfect working disc id retreiver, but Im not getting around to renting all the games you guys have been naming. If I could rent them all I would have my own dnas id forum, or site for all of you.
In fact I think we would be fooling our selves if we have a community this large, and did not realize that there are some enemies present. |
