That should be easy... (not that i know how) but if the emulator is released i bet someone will figure out how to add their own games. If psp isos can be played im sure PS1 isos is cake for hombrew gurus.

PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

I think they just figured out how to make quick ports.

Last ditch effort to save the PSP...if sony would let people convert their PSX games to the PSP now then things would be more interating!
that's a great idea to have your games emulated. that way you can take them with you. if i had a PSP, i might consider getting FF7 on it. but since i dont have one and dont really plan to have one, it's not doing me any good.

if it was possible to convert, then i might just go out and get a PSP for X-mas. the price isnt too bad now. and there's all kinds of tools/hacks for one to enjoy with it. get an 8GB hdd, and i would just get FF7, FF8, FF9, jade cocoon and legend of dragoon. prob'ly some street fighter or tekken game also. that conversion idea is the best idea of all. cant wait for hackers to figure it out.

Sony being the cheap bastards they are might have created a tool to convert games then they can edit/compress to get more space, this of coarse is speculation,I doubt sony will ever be hands off when it comes to homebrews and having control over the PSP.

i dont doubt that they already have a tool. they prob'ly wouldnt make any money any other way. what i dont like about it is the fact that we would have to pay for a game that we've already paid for. but at least we know the psp should be able to handle it.

Sony has been playing that game for years with music and video why not do it with games...

OK... seriously. who thinks that sony will put out the emulator, with the game list including FF7 on that list??

who thinks there will REALLY be a FF7 remake??

i've started to lose faith in that remake thing because of all of the detail that went into making FF7 in the first place. i think that there wont be any compromise between what the fans want and what squarEnix wants to put out. (haha put out) but seriously, there was so much stuff that went into making it, that it'd be tedious as hell to remake it with better graphics. the gameplay would more than likely change, and millions dont want that, but at the same time, millions dont want the old system. it's too much hassle on all sides of the fence. face it people, we can all hope, but that wont make it happen.

Most devs have lsot touch and cant even make detailed fun games anymore.....I can see the Remake being a simple rehash job, something like Wild Arms1,lets dck around with the game splash a new coat of paint on it remove some sht and call t a day.....
its like full button mapping for FPS's they just don't get it....

Iv stated my reasons wny they wont make a remake of FF7 a couple pages back. No FF series has ever been remade... just ported to a different system with some new features and thats about it. Proly the same with FF7 in the future maybe.

if it was even possible, the best we could hope for is a 'ported' version that MIGHT have better graphics. personally i'm still waiting for the FinalFantasy collection of all times. FFI-X all on one disc or something like that.

I'd only buy a FF collection if they update the look to FFX-FF12,other wise I am happy with what I got.

Final Fantasy has been remade. A few times also.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 and 3 for the Nes has been remade like 3 times.

Final Fantasy 1,2 and 3 appeared on the WonderSwan Color with new updated 16bit graphics.

Final Fantasy 1 and 2 was later re-made on the Sony PS1 as Final Fantasy Orgins. They updated the graphics, changed some of the story, added new things in and and made the game a little less hard.

Final Fantasy 3 for Nes was once again re-done for the Nintendo DS. This time in glorious 3D with the addition of WiFi options.

that was exactly my point. the remakes, i already heard of. i believe 1-6 and chrono trigger were all redone and released on PS1 format. new animations in between events and stuff, some got 3D animations, i know chrono trigger got anime additions to some of their sequences. i never got around to playing all or half of them because of some lazy ass reason. but they do exist already. i was just looking for a collection to be put out on ps2. i'll have to check out the DS version.

just got FF12 it dose have a fake turn based mode or you could say a "live" turn based mode its like FF4-7 on active mode the monsters will fight while you fool with commands, all in all it makes battles faster but adds nothing to the over all game the equipment is still screwed up and the LP board is a watered down uber charatcer ngithmare you can build to class charatcers get no unique moves...tis utter BS....

On the Story and voice/dialog side of things its the best FF yet.

they both kinda null each other out leaving FF12 to be "meh"....

you retard-head that's the same old tech demo from last year or 2 years ago. who hasnt seen that?? some idiot under a rock, that's who... if you listen carefully you can almost hear the crowd roar in the back ground when it's over. that basically came straight from the convention where they demoed it.

everyone wants a new FF7 on PS3. but sometimes things like that are just not in the cards. but we keep hope alive.

i'm a retard-head??
i dont think so. that user said he just found a remake vid on youtube. seriously, who hasnt seen the tech demo?? someone who has never had internet connection until just recently. or cable tv either.

but someone posted earlier that there have not been any "remakes" of any final fantasy games, and that's kinda true. all of the first 6 FF games were redistributed for PS1. those werent exactly remakes of the games, but more of adding additional content/movies for the game. like i said, we'd all love a FF7 remake for ps3, but it doesnt seem like it's gonna happen. when it does happen, THEN i'll get a ps3.

if sony really wants to sell a ps3 to the world, get some money behind squarEnix and some more programmers, maybe even the original team. think about that seriously, how many people are wishing for a FF7 for ps3?? too many. how many already have a ps3?? not enough. if sony and squarEnix got everything situated right, and FF7 did come out for ps3. both of them would fly off the shelves in record time. that would put sony back on top, and SE would blow up again. like i said, that's what i'm waiting for...
