h22acrx: its 7 BlueTooth + 1 USB2 = 8 players
The controller looks to be uncomfortable, but I trust Sony to make the right decision. They wouldnt spend all this time, money and reputation just to have it ruined by changing the controller to something uncomfortable. I hope the controllers are rechargable. I hate dealing with batteries all the time.

The controller at E3 and everywhere on the internet is supposedly concept. Kutaragi said, that if feedback is negative enough, SOny will change the design.
7 wireless device is all a Bluetooth system can have, so that's why you USB the other one.
Fanboy is a term used to describe someone who is utterly devoted to a single subject. This generally is followed by the devotion and support even when proved wrong.
Anecdotal, by my definition, it's the way too many people here think. It's also all the evidence you have.

Sony also said it supports up to 6 USB controllers! This will alow you to have 2 Bluetoth controlers and 6 USB controllers! Or many more combinations!

Ummmmm i tink the ps2 controller looks like a boomarang i think thats goin 2 bring down ps3 sells they should of left it like the ps1 and 2

Thinking is wrong, knowing is right. The PS3 may be very different in that it uses the cell CPU, but it did for a reason, it's more powerful. The stats for the 360 just don't add up to the PS3, it's an established fact at this point buddy.

looks kinda weird...id rather use a controller that looks like the Ps2 dualshock2, buth with the ps3 clear buttons....mmmm

Ya just wat i thought when i saw 7 thats uneven its already immpossible to create success becuz 7 uneven # of controllers wont work well game wise like imagine playing Mortal combat that allows Klan wars(multiple people vs multiple people)and you only have 7

Bluetooth can only accept 7 devices at a time. The PS3 will handle 8 all together between Bluetooth and USB.
