DVD Shrink Encoding Restarts my Computer

Hi there. My Problem is with the DVD Shrink what is happening is after I re auth and stuff when I go to back it up it will encode for about 30% and then restart my computer and I will have to start all over again. Then most percentage I got was 89% then restarted. What could be the Problem. Thanks

Is this on just one movie or many?

How much free hard drive space do you have?

Check for viruses/spyware/adware too.

Sounds like you have heat build up and Windows is shutting off the computer when it reaches a certain temp to protect the CPU. Can you take the side off and try again. Also verify the fans on the inside are working properly and the fan over the CPU is running. Also do as squizzle stated and turn off all unneeded processes defrag the HD and run adaware or Spybot. If you can do the movie w/ the side off and then fans are operating then you might have to get more fans for the inside of the computer to keep the heat down

thanks I give it a try. Also though I am Running a pretty slow computer 500mhz w/ 512mb of Ram. So that might have something to do with it. I will try your suggestions for sure. Thanks again.
