DVD Shrink to Nero Burning DVD-R (Fuji) Communication Error

I get a communication error whenever I try burning a DVD from Shrink using Nero. My media is Fuji DVD-R. My DVD Burner is Nu Tech. I've read the previous forurms and followed a lot of the advice but I'm still having errors. I even went to ScubaPete's Guides and did it verbatim. Still communication failure at the beginning of the burn. My IDE/ATAPI Controller is VIA but I don't know how to determine which driver update I need. Here is the log report from DVD Shrink:

The latest firmware is B375, most of the time it will help support new media, and fix lot's of little things.
Firmware B373: Fix write DVD-R fails, cause drive hang.
So I would definitly install the latest B375.

If you burner supports burning at 2x, I always suggest people burning at the lowest speed when troubleshooting...

You seem to have Packet Writting software/drivers installed.
They usually cause conflicts with Nero and/or other bunring software.
If you really don't use Packet Writting (Using a CD-R or CD-RW like a big floppy) then I suggest trying to remove it.

@cougar_ii - your explanation is spot on. All i would add (that's not a problem on this particular log) is to set target size in DVD Shrink to 4300MB, thus avoiding outer edge of disc on future movies

Thanks or the help cougar_ii. I've downloaded the new firmware. But How do I remove specific drivers? Also, I do have Pinnacle studio plus and use it as well (frequently) to burn dvd's from home movies. I don't want to mess that program up too. How do I know what driver's it uses. I just want to remove those components that are messing me up when copying dvd's. Is there anyway to check? :(

Oh, and creaky... I appreciate it; however, I have already set my limit to 4300 according to ScubaPete's guide. (Actually I set it a little lower than his suggestion hoping to cancel that as a possible variable)

Cool, i always try to mention the Shrink limit, just in case. As to the packet writing stuff, those 2 drivers are from Roxio and Direct CD i believe
