I know what most of you will say...this guy is still useing 3.0. Ya, I am. Hopefully someone will be able to answer this question. When I re-author the move (any movie) and I remove everything but the the main movie and the one audio file, why when I burn the movie and play the movie on a plain jane dvd player do some sub-titles stll come up and I sometimes can't shut them off from dvd remote. Is this a bug in 3.0 beta? Everything else works great and that's why I really don't wanna upgrade.....why mess with almost a great thing. Any help????

@ djtroy34,

have you tried unchecking all the boxes on the 'Subpicture' side before you encode? you should get no subs at all then (if shrink 3.0 has this option, im not sure. T'was before i started burning, u see..)

I know what youre saying about older versions of shrink. everyone goes on about ver. 3.2, im still using ver. 3.1.7 & does its job fine..

if it works for you, why change things? :)

a good way to see all the audio and subtitles is to highlight the movie name (w/disc icon) on the left in shrink

Yes, I have all the boxes unchecked for subs and the only one for audio is the first one.

Could it be that the subs are hard coded in the movie?

If you play the movie in the preview window - can you see the subs then? If yes - they are already in the movie.

I think the key word here is almost. That could be a bug fixed in a later version of Shrink. I've used Shrink 3.2 and it doesn't do this with every movie, in fact I haven't found 1 movie that it does this with. There's no harm in upgrading to 3.2 btw.
