I am having issues with DVD Shrink and if anyone can bring to my attention what they are then itd be most helpful.. here goes.

I have an avi file on my computer than I have ran through the Cucucsoft program. I know it used to make the m2v and mpa files and I used to have to run it through Ifoedit and get the vob files. Well in the newer version 6.06 (not sure if its the newest version) it just makes the mpeg file and then you can get a free program from their site to turn the mpeg into vob files. That part works perfectly.. heres where the problem lies. The avi file is only 1.3gigs so I figured the vob files wouldnt be that large.. they typically arent for a file that size. Anyways, when Cucusoft got done authoring the vob files came out to 5.32gigs. Figured it wouldnt be a problem and I would just put it in DVD Shrink and shrink it down but for some reason dvd shrink just pulls up a dialog box that says it needs to close after it gets done loading up the vob files. What I was wondering is if since I cant run it through DVD Shrink if there was a way to shrink each individual vob file itself with another program. Any ideas in the right direction will be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

PS. Oh and I tried running the vob's through TMPGenc DVD Author just to see if it would pull up anything and sure enough it pulls up that the FPS is only 23.976 and that NTSC fps is 29.97. Would that be any indication as to why DVD Shrink wont shrink it?

Sounds like a lot of work to make an AVI file into DVD Compliant files? Have you tried just running your AVI file threw DivXtoDVD?

Not sure why Shrink can't pull up the files as long as you have valid IFO's and VOB's Shrink should be able to pull it up. Shrink doesnt care if it is PAL 23.976 or NTSC 29.97 ... But what ever your gonna play the DVD on will care.. Are you in the US or Europe?
