I wouldn't waste my money on them. While the only reviewer rates them good on videohelp they id out as CMC Mag - the worst manufacturer.
In store stick with Verbatim DataLife, Sony and Fuji (look for made in Japan).

So is "MADE IN JAPAN" the main and only thing other than brand name that you look for in good Media?

Buying in store I would say yes for Sony and Fuji - No for Verbatim DataLifePlus. Stay away from no name and store name brands,and some bigger names like Memorex, HP. Maxell and TDK are other good names - again for these also look for made in Japan.

as the sweet binkie has alluded to..yes, for FUJI AND SONY made in japan is somewhat important as THAT is how to distinguish between the TYs and the other "not as good" media~ :)

Verbatims =made in taiwan...EXCELLENT media~ :)

good luck~

just stay away from memorex and store brands...the risk factor is too high, even if it's made in japan~ it's a gamble as labels switch manufacturers at a moments notice and you might just be stuck w/ more CMC MAG crap~ :P

@tmfloria,

I have never heard of those before, however, if you feel the need to try then go ahead. It's your call, your $money$.

I would highly recommend you listen to Gen. Kivory; he knows the best media in the world. And now may I present it again; it's Taiyo Yuden. Yep, that's one shit you need to get period. Follow by that, the only 2 top notch medias I would recommend are Verbatimand Maxell.

NOTE: FUJI 4X/8X DVD+R "Made In Japan", SONY 8X DVD+R "Made In Japan" both are genuine TYs as well. Bottom line is to look for "MIJ" on the spindle/packages at your local stores when shopping for medias.

WARNING: Do not "update/upgrade" your SAMSUNG BD-D5XXX series (Bluray Player), or else you cant enjoy any of your movie files.

as i stated earlier...in a somewhat not so direct way, despite the good price, i would avoid that media, you will PROBABLY have some predictable issues in the near future. you might look at "Saving a few bucks here and now", but, you will spend a LOT more later to rebackup your discs IF they even play later...don't take that risk...do yourself a favor, get the good stuff...see my sig for suggestions if you don't already know what i mean by the "good stuff"

i've never had a problem with nextechh's disks, untill the recent batch, i've gone through 3 25 packs of them, and never had a problem. The recent ones i've baught dont seem to be friendly to my burner though. won't burn to them, but, i think i have a different type of DVD-R they put out, this time..the disks dont look the same...regardless, they should read...

so yeah, i'm undecided as to what i think of nexxech's DVD-R's...all the previous ones i've gotten, they've run every ps2 game i burnt perfectly. its just a shame these ones wont even let my computer burn to them.

@PsychBeat
Well I'd say stay away!!!! They do not use any quality manufacturers for either format. Poor quality media is inconsistent. You will probably have problems with the ones you have burned. They usually end up degraded some sooner than later.
