okay i'm a newbie in dvd copying.

first i used 1clickcopydvd, cuz it looked really easy, and it took about half an hour to compress and copy a dvd to my hard drive. the same movie with dvdshrink takes about an hour.

why is that? does dvdshrink offer better quality so it takes longer or what?

thanks!

The fact that it takes longer, could be purely down to your PC specs.

Do you defrag often? Do you clear your temporary files etc.?
I've been using Shrink for a year now and I couldnt ask for much more, and it's free!

My Advice is to defrag your HD etc. then try DVD Shrink.

thanks. i have a p3 1200 ghz, 512mb ram

actually i take real good care of my computer. defragment weekly. i also use registry mechanic, drive cleaner weekly, scan for spyware...so i don't think that's the problem.

if 1clickcopydvd copies in half an hour why doesn't DVD Shrink? anyway is 1clickdvdcopy any good? or should i switch to DVD Shrink even though it takes longer?

Lol, If 1clickcopydvd, is faster and you think the quality is good enough, then I'd just stick with that.

i also have both programs, i mostly use shrink for it is said that it produces a better quality than many but, i love 1clickdvd because it is so easy and fast plus i really don't see any difference in quality between the two. i'm sure you'll hear differently.

ps: 1clickdvd is great, keep it.

Nero Recode2 or Shrink using deep analysis and AEC/ fabdecrypter or anydvd running in the background/ IMGBurn to burn/main movie only mode= perfect.
