Rare Shrink Problem (please help)

first off.. here are the specs of my comp-

-P4 motherboard, 1.4 prossesing speed
-700+ram
-2 hard drives, both western digital, 1st one at 30Gig's ntfs, and 2nd one at 80Gig's ntfs
-ati vid card
-soundblaster card
-sony dvd player
-emprex burner

Now im trying to back up my movie i bought. i used dvd decrypter to rip it on my 2nd hard drive and there's barley anything on the hard drive. im using dvd-r to copy my movie on. when i get to shrink, to shrink it. i check the green bar and everythings ok. then i click on the back up tab, it starts to encode it. later at 46% it STOPS.. it says-

DVD shrink has encountered an error and cannot continue. out of memory. not enough storage is available to process this command.

ALL I HAVE TO SAY IS.. WHAT THE HELL?! I HAVE FREAKEN 66.5GB OF FREE SPACE AND 700+RAM.. HOW MUCH MORE YOU WANT, I HAVE NOTHING LEFT. sorry about all the caps.. this is soo frustrating because ive tried numerous things like re-formatting and playing with the options. and i still get the samething. if someone can help me fix this your the MAN or WOMAN, cause i seriously tried everything and i even read all the guides.

How much RAM is available when you do the encoding? You can check this by right-clicking on your task bar, choose Task Manager, choose the tab labeled: Performance

Encoding uses a lot of CPU resources, so be sure disable any processes/programs that do not need to be used, do not multi-task while it's encoding...

If you do not have a lot programs/processes running, one could speculate that spyware/adware components are running in memory and are hogging resources....

Try and defragment your hard drives, so data can be sorted "sufficiently" for the comp to access...

even though you have 700+ ram how many applications are you running while you are using shrink?

try turning off some of those programs it may help.
