dvd shrink is screwing up for me

Whenever I try to open a disk that is in my D drive in dvd shrink I get this error message:
Failed to read file "D:\"

It never did this before but has now started doing it with any movie i put in it. Can anyone help me with this?

What other proggys do you have loaded? Have you just tried to reboot your PC. That can sometimes help. Can you read the DVD at all I mean with anything else like explorer?

ya the computer knows that it is there cause it shows up in the drive under my computer and can be played in dvd viewing programs but for some reason DVD Shrink cant open it.

Again what other programs do you have installed? AnyDVD, DVD43, InCD??

Also could try uninstalling and reinstalling DVD Shrink :-)

yeah i have DVD43 and InCD and I already uninstalled and reinstalled it and that didnt work.

Yeah well uninstall INCD for sure and make sure DVD43 isn't running or uninstall it and then give it a go :-)

well I uninstalled both of those and it still gives the same error message

try DVD Decrypter to write to hd and then when using shrink click on open file instead of open disc proceed as normal let us know if you find a resolution. good luck and happy burning

kermfrog,
Either your disc is unreadable because its scratched or dirty or you need a ripper to work with Shrink. DVD43 should work. A newer version of AnyDVD will also work. Once the encryption is busted Shrink will do the trick. If the disc is unreadable using Shrink then try Decrypter. There are some excellent guides for using the mentioned programs. Do a little reading and I'm sure you will find your solution.
