Fitting ps1 games to 5-10mb? Not going to happend. Even if they're modified, the games still need the same textures as the original games. So fitting them to a space that small is not possible. Or maybe it would be possible using procedural synthesis, which is not possible on psp.

It all works out, remember, game enthusiasts are give an inch and take a mile. Soon after this emulator comes out, there will be guides and programs on how to make roms of games you already own if not given by Sony themselves. Plus on a totally side note,

SONY PSP PRICE DROP: $199.99 by the end of march

PSP CAMERA ATTACHMENT: COMING SOON!

USB GPS RECIEVER (which will work with certain games):COMING SOON!

8 GB MEMORY STICK: BY THE END OF THE YEAR!

I thought the price is for the standard pack without the headphones, remotes, etc?

BUT if it is a price drop for the value pack, then that is pretty gay. I bought a white psp not that long ago. And secondly, it makes me wonder if they really are coming out with a new revised psp because Sony wouldn't drop the price for no reason right?

just to clarify...

were all arguing about something that is probably never going to happen.

the last i heard on the ps1 and n64 emu's is that they were running a demo @ 1fp/s which is pointless and unplayable.

the chances of sony ever making a ps1 emu for psp is well very very unlikely

maybe porting ps1 games to psp (still unlikely) - but an emulator - doubtful
(and before you say anything, i dont care what you heard on some site or forum. simple qustion - is it on sony's site? NO)

i personally dont believe we'll ever have a fully working (at playable speeds) n64 or ps1 emulator - but i have been wrong before
ill say not this time though
on this one

But it IS going to happen!!! It has officially been announced by Ken Kutaragi HIMSELF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

Gameinformer went to a recent conference (where afterdawn got its current headline about the date pushback on PS3) and got all this information. I trust them, theyre really accurate :)

n-e way i aint crying wolf, i would never do that,

OH and sorry i misinformed you, it is not the value pack that is price dropping, it is the psp and its adapter only.

plus PSP is still said by gameinformer to have a secon edition psp probably later this year ( by second edition i predict new color with built in hdd)

here is the site!

It's possible, but I bet it's close to impossible to code. Unless Sony makes the emulator, but I doubt they will because the ps2 is still alive.

There's also a n64 emulator called donkey64 that looks really good. I doubt it's real though. Here is the link http://pspupdates.qj.net/Donkey64-Working-Emulator-/pg/49/aid/11156

The dude boots up the program in the video and it looks pretty real, but we'll find out once he releases it.

28. Q. Is there any N64 Emulator or PS1 emulator's available for the PSP?
A.Yes, Read this;

PS1 Emulator

Article from IGN
?Sony?s Ken Kutaragi continues to drop PlayStation Portable news during the company?s PlayStation Buisness Briefing 2006 as he?s just announced that the PSP will see ?E-Distrubution? features added sometime in the future.

Users will be able to boot software directly from their Memory Stick, all official-like this time around (you know what I mean). The first major announcement for use of this will be a series of PSOne games - yes, you will be able to download classic PlayStation titles and play them on your PSP. No word yet as of whether or not you?ll be able to transfer games directly via disc or not, or which games we should see first, but more news on this as it comes in.?

N64 Emulator

PSMonkey has updated his blog to show off some more progress on his N64 emulator. He has been working hard at getting textures working.

"Ok well i?ve been busy over the last few days. Textures are much more difficult then I had thought. Anyways today I am starting to make progress. I am now getting some structure in place (there are alot of cases to handle). Anyways while things are far from perfect they are off to a good start. Below you will find screenshots from Bust A Move 2 Intro & Mortal Kombat Mythologies Item Screen. Hopefuly I can get things looking more correctly soon."

Examples of his work:

Great job PSmonkey, keep up the good work.
