I am trying to burn in DVD Shrink 3.2 at 8x speed but it says its only burning at 2.4x. My media is DVD-R 8X. I kave the Lightscribe DVD +- Rewritable drive.

Is there a way to change settings to recognize the faster speed?

Thanks

sounds to me like you are using decrypter as your default burning engine maybe Nero as DVD Shrink does not have a burning engine or does not actually burn any-thing open up decrypter and change the speed then the next time you have shrink use that program it will default on that speed. but beware burning any faster than 4x as your chance of error is greatly increased

Yes, I am also using Nero. I will try to change the speed in Nero and see what happens.

Thanks!

Open DVD Decrypter with a 8x DVD-R in the dvd tray. There will be a box to the right of the screen, a line will read "Supported Write Speeds". These are the speeds your firmware will allow with that type of media. If you are using low end media the burner manufacturer may recommend a lower burning speed or your firmware way be old and in need of an update.

I would only use this media for trash can liner whatever you do don't let it near your burner try verbatim data life plus or maxxel both affordable and of good quality just trying to prevent future headaches
