I'm in the 99% of members who would not recommend purchasing this media. I bought it once years ago when I first started burning and made 80% coasters. Try something better like Verbatim, Sony, Maxell or Fuji. Or go online and purchase Taiyo Yuden for reputable dealers.

I know Verb, Sony and TY are great. I just saw the ad yesterday and wanted to know. Now I know to wait and see if next week they put Sony or some verb's on sale. BB has a sale like this everyweek. They just seem to rotate which brand is on sale. Thx for the replies. Saved me $20 dollars

U really don't have to wait for weekly "sales ads" for Memorex. U can pick them up anywhere for "ridiculously low" prices. That should be an indicator right there. I know AD can't do this but I wish that they could put up a banner that says "Memorex is no good, stop asking about it!!!!!"

If they'd let u swap them out for the cd-rs I can work with them. I've had pretty consistent success with them. This is why people are getting confused. They are going with the brand name and are paying the price (literally).

I could try explaining that it will lower their inventory, since they can't give them away anyway :)

Put me in the same boat with the rest of the members on this this one. $20 for 50 memorex is way too much. Very risky. You can find a hell of a lot higher quality media, cheaper than this, but not this week.

Those memorex are most likely made by the same manufacturer as the HP's on sale at staples-cmags! UGHHH!.You can get 40 teons when they go on sale at staples for under $8.These are also cmags!Huge price difference for the exact same manufacturer of the discs.

Last weeks sales on ty- fujis at staples were awesome. The week before, office depot's 100 pack spindles for $28 of riteks were also a bargain. Nothing caught my eye this week. Maybe next week will be better! This is a bad week for dvd media sales. Wait till staple's have the sony 1x-8x for 50 packs for $20.It should be coming up very soon.

Memorex hehehe, what else can I say. I'd even buy a 100 pk of these automatic coasters for $40 if a plextor dvdrw was included. Make one nice BIG mobile or several small ones.

i am sure there are millions of people who buy the memorex brand media, but are not aware of this site, much less others out there who do notknow of memorex...... all we can do is spread the word. i was at best buy the other day, saw a guy pick up 3 spools of those memorex dvd+r's, and as he was walking off, i stopped him, told him of the quality of this media, he kinda looked at me like i was a freak or something, gave me 'the eye' and questioned me. i began to tell him of his success rate he may have with the media, and after about 5 minutes of conversation, he reluctantly put them back and bought just 1 spool of the fuji 25 pack and said he would try them out. i then mentioned after dawn to him and to download a cd/dvd identifier to further prove to him on his choice. as he left, he said he would do so, and then he walked off.... i hung around the media section for 10 minutes or so, then walked off myself, aboout 2 minutes later, i saw him go back and pick up 1 more spool of the fuji's....
woooooooooooohoooooooooooooo i converted one !!!
YOU WILL LEARN GRASSHOPPER !!!
i felt i had did my good deed for the day !!

Is it live or is it Memorex?

Backup up a DVD on this sh*t and the ONLY way you'll get to view it again IS live because your backup will be history!!! LMAO...

Well i'm a newbie to this site but have been burning for quite some time. My advice is to stay way way away from Memorex. Stick with what works and take it from the experience stated in this forum thread..Memorex is not what works.
