got me three power supplies ordered, gonna wire them in series, get triple the power, and quadruple my burn speeds, up to at least 52X..

More than half of you dont even have any experience using Memorex, I bet. You just quote what others say about it. What a bunch of posers. I've been using memorex for years and havent even thought of switching media. Never have prob's. To the guy that started this thread: I recommend you buy a 5 pack at least of memorex, see if they do ok with your writer, then decide on the sale of 50. Dont just take these other guys' word for it. It's your money.
This is almost as bad as the bogus hype that surrounds FireFox. The internet is full of posers and its hilarious.

thats an option he needs to try but he may find that his burner isnt compatible with them.The people who are against these like creaky ,doc666, scubapete ,arniebear etc all have had bad experiences with this type of media and over the years they arent getting any better.
Ultimately it comes down to what works for you, memorex hasnt ever worked but i consistantly have successes with TY/RITEK/PRINCO.

LOL JD~ nicely put..yes, i recommend burning slower to those starting out, but, hey, the risk i take PERSONALLY for burning faster is ONLY going to mess up MY OWN discs, worse comes to worse...and it's nobody else's LOSS but my own :) so, sometimes i take a lil detour on the "wild side" and burn faster...i don't want others taking the plunge 1st, that is why i recommend burning @ 4x to lessen the chance of errors, but for me, if it works..stick with it, if it doesn't, like the case with memorex discs, i change and find something that DOES work for me. :)
i don't hurt anyone else and their wallets by burning faster on my own discs, it's MY loss, not theirs if one is ridden with errors or i produce a coaster...just want to give GOOD advice for those that are new to burning, i am NOT a role model, don't do what i do. hehe :)
good day to the rest of u~ and dvdeviant, i HAVE used memorex in the past, about 150 of them actually, which can be seen as a "little bit of experience" or "a lot of experience" depending on WHO you talk to; but, they don't work for me, so naturally, i switched and have been VERY pleased with my Taiyo Yudens and Verbatim DVD+R format since then...you are entitled to your opinion as is everyone else, but, name calling..hahaha...how mature is that really?

anyway, i have personally used the memorex media initially, when i first started burning and backing up, only because i had no clue what i was using, until the day i went to watch one of my burns, and there was no information available for me to see, well, come to find out, it was my choice in media, so i can tell you DVDeviant thats why i dont use memorex media......... PERIOD
i wish i could post one of my scans here, but for some reason, its acting weird on me, but i trust that one of my friends in here will do so for an example of a good scan vs bad scan.
