Does anyone know why the version of Nero from this website doesn't work with DVD Shrink to burn automatically like Nero usually does? It seems to be the real Nero too.
No, I don't get any errors, Shrink just doesn't automatically read Nero like it does on my other computer. The only difference with my laptop and my computer is that Nero is downloaded on one and was installed by CD software on the other.
Everything in Shrink is the same and works fine, except when u click on back-up and go to burn settings tab, everything is gray and u can't change anything because there's no burning software hooked up to shrink somehow.
Yes in preferences, it is checked to burn with Nero, and I just tried uninstalling shrink and installing it again, but it still didnt pick up Nero for some reason. It must have somethin to do with the downloaded version of Nero (which may be trial version?).
Ok, I just tried burning with decrypter and after shrink decodes the dvd and I take it out, put in a blank disc, decrypter won't burn. Can someone help me with how to burn with this, I've never done it without Nero. It just says (device not ready - medium not present - tray closed).

ok thats for nero... (have you changed media lately? do you have the latest firmware for your drive?)
when you hit backup button in dvd shrink a popup box appears in the drop down menu you will see a few options like make iso to HD or make iso and burn with dvd decrypter (you may have to click the picture link its a HD to CD picture for it to burn)
just load your files back to dvd shrink and do the above...
