First off, once PS3 comes out, wont there be a mod chip for it? Also, all the backed up/burned (same thing) games that ps2 users have created, can we still play those on a modded ps3 with a mod chip in the ps3? Its like, why backup ps2 games when they wont work on PS3. I know the PS3 is backwards compatable but I dont know if its backwards compatable with backups.
hopefully the ps3 modchip will have the capibility to play original ps2 games and back ups of ps2 games, It think the ps3 will already be able to play original games for both ps and ps1
Anyway only the 40gig isn't bwc at the moment. And Sony is rumored to be working on a way to fully emulate ps2 games on the ps3 so the 40gig can play ps2 games.
I Just Read On Wikipedia, The Newest 160GB Version Wont Be Able To Play PS2 Games Either, looks like once i sell my 80Gb MotorstormPS3 for profit, i'll get a 60GB from Ebay

Then the pirate selling games relabeled Assassins Creed 1 and called it Assassins Creed 2. This is called marketing.
Your friend is honest and thinks she plays AC2 on a PS3. In reality she is playing AC1 on a PS2.

A 60 gig will probably cost you more than what you sold the 80 gig for.
