I'm a newbie and need some help/info regarding burning my dvd's. I read a thread and downloaded DVDFAB, Decrypter, and Shrink. I use all 3 to burn my DVD's(it's the only way I've learned and NEVER had a problem. It works great). My question is: Is it absolutely necessary to use all 3 programs? Or is it just a preferred way of burning DVD's? Thanks.

as of yet I have not had the reason to use dvdfab I do however know decrypter and shrink are stillall you need to make a good quality back-up of any dvd out there. I do own dvdfabderypter but have never used it. imo if dvddecrypter can't rip it it can't be ripped!
but will hang on to my copy of fab decrypter for when that day comes!

I have been using DVDFAB and Shrink do back up DVD for some time now.
Unless you are using DVD Decrypter to burn your DVD (Nero is a better
Solution in my opinion) you really don't have to use DVD Decrypter all the time. As DVDFAB is able to rip most DVD I have encountered. I only run DVD Decrypter if DVDFAB has any difficulties.

Ditto what RedAnt said. I like DVDFab because of the extra features it offers if you're splitting to two discs (custom change graphics impress the heck out of my friends when they come over). Automatic splitting, setting a default audio stream, ensuring that the subtitles are turned off -- all of this stuff is minor but if you copy a lot of discs it really helps over the long run. (I've got about 400 movies in my collection now.)

I use DVD Shrink if it's so close to fitting onto one disc that a little compression won't hurt. (I have a projector and watch movies at 100+ inches, so I'm real sensitive to image quality.) And I use Decrypter when all else fails.
