Hello everyone. As my name indicates I'm new to this DVD burning.

Here's what I have: (Region 1) Matshita DVD-RAM UJ-830S and connected through USB I have (region 2) Mathita DVD-RAM SW-9585S.

Trying to copy a DVD movie (region 2) using DVD Shrink.

So I put the region 2 DVD I want to copy into my external region 2 player (noted above) and using DVD Shrink am trying to copy it to my hard drive. Every time, the same thing. Audio File empty.

I have tried every option re: the audio, and every time after "backing up" the audio file in my hard drive is empty.

The video files seem fine. This also occurred using DVD de-crypter.

The strange thing was... I seemed to get the music for the menu section but the main movie.

Any ideas?

Thank you very much.

Welcome to aD!
The audio file is almost always empty. All files needed to burn the DVD are located in the video_ts folder.
Burn the DVD using the video_ts folder - it should be fine.

The "AUDIO_TS" fold we always be empty. It is only there for compatibility reasons.

For main movie, you need to keep the AC3 5.1-Ch audio stream, the 2-CH audio stream is for menus and extras.

Thank you very much for taking the time to respond to my question. Yea that's right. I got it working. Thanks again.

Oh by the way, is it just me or do movies like Star Wars Episode 2, which are computer graphics heavy, look odd, even when you bring the video signal up into the 80% range when reauthoring a DVD?
