What movie are you doing? Shrink can give this error if it can't handle the copy protection or the disc is dirty, scratched or a bad press.
Try running it through Decrypter 1st then shrink w/ shrink.

Well that rules out any copy protection. Now it depends on how good of a copy it is (media/burn speed used). I would still recommend ripping it with Decrypter (clean the disc first). If Decrypter can't rip it imo nothing can.
Here's a guide for hard to rip dvd's:

gjlizama,
Welcome to the forum. Are you trying to copy a 4.3 gb movie( already compressed) and put it on a 1.43 gb Mini DVD. You are talking about compressing approx another 60% of a movie that has been compressed before. It might can be done but the quality IMHO will be not up to par. If I was going to try it I would see if DVDRebuilder+CCE could do it as CCE is a far superior encoder as Shrink is just a transcoder: Big difference.
The error code you are getting means that there are scratches or bubbles on the movie disk you are trying to copy. You will need a clean copy to be able to copy the movie. Try binkie7's suggestion but if DVDDecrypter shows errors then get the original DVD and start from there and try and compress it

Hi Binky.

I am trying to rip one os the foreign movie and it gave me the same problem with with gjlizama and I think this is the new kind of protection on the Disc and I have try other that will work find with DVDshrink. This Disc won't even work with DVD Decrypter and I gave me a warning that the Disc is protected. I can play the Disc fine in 3 different player and the Disc is brand new so I don't think it the Disc.

Thans for your help

You can use DVDFAB Decrypter as DVDDecrypter has ceased operations. If the message you got using DVDDecrypter was the warning screen about the RCE Protestion we all get that message and all you have to do is click yes and keep going.

Lord26 ,
Shrink ceased operations 2 years ago as he went to work at Nero and has not been updated. This is why you have to use a ripper. If you know something magical about Shrink that no one on any of the boards knows then post your info here and share it

Thanks Car.Mike I think you are right on the money and I will try what you reccomend.

This is what I think the new trick of new Disc that give me problem on DVDShrink. The Manufacture is adding some dummy track or blank track to the DVD and that cause the DVDShrink cannot do the job because the .IFO does no match, and if you are using the DVD Decrypter, yes it will Decrypt the Eccyption but it will automatically insert a dummy track when it rip to your harddrive and still this wil cause the DVDShrink will not work either.

Guys please correct me if I am wrong, I just want to learn frorm you guys and I know you guys are Pro.

Thanks for all your help

Toyo92802 ,
Evidently you are doing a Sony Movie and that is either Puppetlock or Arcoss encryption and yes there are dummy sectors added added by the Studios. DVDD usually handled them real well but this might be one that came out since he ceased operation and that is why I suggested the other ripper. You can also try AnyDVD and use that along w/ Shrink to do the movies. Shrink will handle it once it is ripped properly. What is the name of the Movie?

Toyo92802,
If all of the rippers are giving you that message than you have a bad press and will need to exchange it for a new one or you burner is going bad. Take the disk and try to rip it using another computer but install DVDFab Decrypter on the new computer alng w/ Shrink. If you get that error message again then it is a bad press as you ar now trying a different burner or DVD-Rom
