DVD Shrink Burning Error

All of a sudden I get this error at the start of the burning process, start to write lead in then states illegal disc, borders ok or something to that effect and then pops disc out with long log file pc is not able to go online or I would copy and paste log file, but again prior to large error message, burn states illegal disc....HELP

Sounds like your drive doesn't like the disc your using. What kind are you using? What's the burn speed? Firmware up to date?

I had no problem with media for example tried an rw last evening worked tried again didn't

Depending on the manufacturer of the discs you use you can get mixed results from the same spindle. What brand are you using? In Nero Tool kit you can also identify who the manufacturer actually is.
Is the firmware on your drive up to date?
A log would be really helpfully. Burn it to a cd or put on flash stick and transfer it to the computer you have internet access to.

Another item, when looking at Nero info tool shows Nero aspi not installed should it be and how do you do it?

Aspi is a basically a driver which helps Nero communicate w/ your burner. Here's a link to download it:

Are you running the latest version of Nero - 6.6.0.16? If not you should upgrade to that.
